Pirate teen room!
Hello, when i start to decorate this room ill be a teen so..........
I am wanting to decorate my room in a pirate theme sorta Pirates of The Caribbean. But everything i searched is for kids not teens...well saying that i want to add like a antique look to the walls to make it look old with shoe polish (gray walls) and many other things. I am going to get sword hangers and pistol hangers then buy some replica flint lock pistols and cutlasses....so anyone good at decorating please contact me and help! That would be an awesome room! Just keep in mind that your views may change over the next few years so dont go too insane :P. Check ebay they tend to have alot of good movie props and replicas.

That's gonna be amazing!!! But as Chris said, your views may change.. so plan it out now, and buy it all later. Or at least just start with little things, like trinkets that don't cost too much, would add a nice touch to your room, but wont bring regret if you decide to change your mind later.
P.S. (What about a ship steering wheel? Saw one at The Christmas Tree Shop once. I wanted to buy it and add a stand to it so It could spin but I decided against it. Doesn't go with the decor of my room hehe. But it might work for you! )

If anything have people PM you:
http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/f...=newpm&u=19816 (This is the link to Private Message you by the way) Its just like email pretty much, only through the site. You can also set it up so your PM's are sent directly to your e-mail by going to the User Control Panel under Edit Options. That way you'll be able to read the contents of the PM through your email. Though you still have to respond via PM. |

Ben you can use black wall paint instead of shoe polish. Just thin it out a tiny bit with water in a plastic cup & use a sponge brush to wipe it on & really drag it out with your brush but don't fill your brush too full with paint. Experiment on some cardboard to find the right effect, also try sponges etc till you get it the way you want & then have at it with your walls!! Also check out HGTV online shows for ideas & more effects for painting. You could also paint 1 (focal wall) red for contrast. I love to decorate & have tons of ideas. Definitely make your bedding stand out too. That would be another great place to add red without painting any walls
If you are artistic you could do a few paintings, even a skull & crossbones etc. if you want more ideas you are welcome to PM me & have fun!!
