It isn't that weak really. In some cases, it can be a better ship because crew members can easily get to cannons during battle. Don't let the "Sloop" in the name fool you. It's hull may not be as much as the War Galleon or Frigate, but the hull is still pretty tough compared to the other ships. If you have the money for a War Sloop, buy it, because in my opinion, it is better than the regular Frigate, so until you get the money to buy a War Galleon or Frigate, you can use your War Sloop.

Well, really, the best way to get money is by (like so many of ye have said) joining public ships. This'll get ye gold fast, without puttin' damage on any of yer own ships.

Goldie's Recommendation:
Only join ships that meet the following criteria:

• Is a war class ship.
• Has a great percentage of health left.
• Has plenty of crew mates.
• Has a small amount of cargo already on board.
