Angry Pirates of the Caribbean Online with iMac G5

Hey, I am at my grandpa's house and I downloaded and successfully installed and updated, and when i got on The screen was red! It Just had a Large square in the whole screen, all you could see was outer edges. I tried reinstalling, and re-downloading it, but it never worked, have anyone else had these proublems?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??

Not in my case. I use Mac with POTCO. Make sure that you install the Mac version of the game.

Mac user here.

The only time I have had serious graphic issues is when my cache folder needed to be emptied. I haven't ever heard of it needing to be emptied immediately after downloading the game but I wouldn't rule it out completely.

Here's how:
Open up your finder and go to applications. Right click on POTCO and click show package contents. Scroll down to the folder titled "cache" and expand it and delete ALL its contents. It's usually upwards of 900 items for me.

Try that and if it doesn't work post back here. I'm sure we can get you sorted out.


EDIT: Wait. Wait wait. I just registered the thread title. When the G5s were released ('04 or '05 I think) the standard Mac OS was Panther. The latest G5 systems MAY have come with Tiger, I really don't know.

If the computer is running Panther it does not meet the minimum system requirements for POTCO and that could be the issue. The game should run on Tiger but that is cutting the system requirements pretty close.
