Tells!
Is it only npc's that have tells or is it also players? I don't usually pay enough attention, but it would suck if you had a tell you couldn't control that others could see.
Card playing/ gambling should be a skill, like the weapon skill and etc. The better you are, the more chance your card swap would work and the more obvious your opponent's tells are and the less obvious yours are. /endRant |

If you watch your virtual opponents playing T. Hold 'em they sometimes will cheer or look disapointed when cards come up or they get delt cards. This is a good indication of how good their cards are. When playing in real life, this is called a 'tell'.

"Tells"
I am not sure if it has been talked about but I have noticed that the NPCs have tells when they get a card they need. Its usually followed by betting also. They raise an arm and do the "fist pump" thing. I have noticed they usually have at least three of a kind when this happens or better hands than that to boot. Check it out sometime. It has saved me some good cash when i have had a good 2 pair and what not.

It isn't just the NPC's mate! Watch your own toon. Whenever you fill a straight or a flush, your toon does the same thing. This means that if you are playing with real live players, you are giving away your hand! I sent in a bug report on this btw.

I noticed this as well several days ago, but have also noticed many other things with this. First, they arm jab will happen if they have a face card or ace. Second, this is extremely unreliable depending on where you are. Third, do not try using this on Padres, they do bluff there. |

You can't trust them to be sure. NPC's.. *spits*
Play your hands, you can't bluff a computer. Play what's dealt to ya, watch the flop for suiter's, and prey they don't get lucky on the river, hehe. While Hold em' is generally a player's game.. against NPC's.. the luck comes in more so then the live player. More free advice for ya mates.

If you have 2 people you can kill the npcs in poker, unless the recent update changed that. They will never fold two pair, so if both of you have about 50k gold, hope an npc has at least two pair and don't stop raising (well, lol, stop raising so your friend has a bit of money left so he can "win" it back from you). You will win 50k in gold. Then, the npcs "do" all fold at times, so you can give your friend back the money he/she lost to you raising.
It's pretty easy to beat the npcs by yourself, but you have to know how to play poker, and trust me, most people think they know how to play, but they don't. I'm just talking about the math (odds) part, since there is no psychology involved, although the npcs do bluff on ocassion. The npcs aren't very bright, so if you have some skill, you should do well.
