About the ads, the Pokemon with the animation is the biggest culprit even with the beefiest of machines. There is a workaround that allows the ads to be shown without animation. It works 100% but it's a rather pain to switch back and forth between playings. Here is what can be done:
1)Uninstall your current version of flash using adobe's uninstall program

2)Go to oldversion.com and get macromedia flash version '6'. Once downloaded, there will be several iterations of flash so use the latest one available in the zip file. You will need to use the activex installer since potco realies on IE. This removes the animated portion of flash. The ads are still shown and clickable but the animated portion(falling snow) is avoided. This is why we are using version 6 instead of the newer one.
3)Enjoy a lag free game
4)The nuisance part is that if you visit youtube or whatever that uses flash, you will need to reupdate your flash version(rather easy to do just a pain to change back and forth just to play POTCO).
p.s. Hopefully Disney or whomever will stray away from animated flash ads in the future. Most people think it is their computer that won't run the game properly and won't give the full version a shot. PoTco/Disney really needs to jump on this quickly before people give up on a wonderful game before they even get started.
