Okay, so I have not logged into my POTCO accounts in a few weeks, and went to log in today just out of the fear of my accounts possibly being considered "dead" and getting deleted. I noticed the video that now plays when you first go to piratesonline.com .... And I had a few thoughts about it, and its' content.

1.) Coming in Spring 2007: Really? They were to cheap to edit the video, and get that off there, its Summer 2009 lol.

2.) Davey Jones: You can clearly see a Davey Jones character in the game play they have video of. I am sure this is the version of the game the developers were playing, probably on a private network with one another... But you can clearly see Davey Jones in the game play, and this was made pre Spring 2007. What is with this huge delay on Chapter 2?

3.) The Kraken: You can clearly see The Kraken attacking a ship. The same goes with what I said about Davey Jones here.

4.) Ships Attacking Islands: You can view ships firing upon islands, atleast that is what it looks like to me. We cant fire on islands, or attack them. What could this possibly mean?

5.) Jolly Roger: You can see Jolly Roger, and he looks to be in the game play, not just a "cut-scene". I would even venture to say it portrays him on a private island of his own, as if it is some sort of Boss Battle.

Now after noticing all these things, I cant help but wonder why on Earth the gears are moving so slow to add these new things to the game. All of these things are coded up, and have been put into some game play; by now they should have been went through with a fine tooth comb and debugged. Could the rumours really be true I hear from friends in the game? Has Disney just given up? Will there ever be a Chapter 2 Story Quest? I can't for the life of me see why they have all of these things set up, but have not released them yet. If there ever is a Chapter 2 Story Quest, it should be filled with alot of this stuff I would think.

Is all of this just waitng for us 'til the UK POTCO is released? I was seeing some stuff on here about that, has it been released? Is the UK POTCO what is delaying us?

These are all things that kind of caught my attention tonight, and I am curious what others conclusions are.

Hmm... huh. I normally wouldn't call them late by my standards, though they seem to be missing their own.

What video are you referring to?
I see no video when I go to piratesonline.com

Are you talking about the DxD page that starts showing videos?

When I went to sign in the other day, there was a video playing at the log-in page. It was one of the videos that I am assuming ran on TV during their commercials, but I had never seen this particular one. http://piratesonline.go.com/welcome Here, you have to click a tab in the top right now that says " Game Trailer" or if you let the page sit idle a moment, it will play automatically.

Now since I posted this, they have changed the video lol... It has had the, "Coming Spring 2007" removed from it. It also looks to be much shorter than the one they had up a couple days ago, but all of what I mentioned is still there to see. I am a bit shocked they actually edited the Spring 2007 thing. I wonder if one of them might have seen my post on here poking fun at it, and got it fixed??? That would be a real shocker

Well i'll be, dont remember seeing that now for quite awhile.. lol doesnt appear theyve changed that in awhile (ever).

I think they need to move some of the Toontown designers to POTC, TT is getting new stuff like crazy (so much that they're desperate for new things to add in their new TIPs), and we have gotten no more linked accounts. Um...........

Ive seen some of that video before but dont remember me seeing davy jones in it.
I wonder if they made davy jones JUST for that commercial?

Not likely. I believe they took footage from some of their other POTC game titles in making that video.

If they did, they look nearly exactly alike from the one in the phase files.

Its possible im wrong, they may have just taken those parts out of the original development code, and are working on putting it back in..

But then again if I was right... Why reinvent the wheel?

can you please post the phase files I might be able to see if its from any other game and it could lead into how much progress is being made on the 2nd story chapter by the look of it

The 'phase' files are part of the game... nothing that can be posted.
If you play pirates online, you already have them.
