I am on this mission, and have to search the crates in Kingshead, but damn it is the hardest quest i have been yet! There are plenty of guards lvl 20+, and they attack at the same time, even they are far away, they are comin to kill me(LoL) , when i am searching the crates. ( I have to search 20 crates btw!)

So i need a partner or two, or more LoL.

Anyone who is gonna do this quest, let me know and lets group!

Another thing, if you log out and log back in, you can search the same barrels and crates

Man, tell me about it! I have been trying to increase my cutlass and dagger skills and also my notoriety so I can manage some of these guys.

After I got all the crates and barrels the first time, the blacksmith had the nerve to tell me to go search 20 more?????????????????? I was cursing like a pirate at him!!!!!! He lucky my sword can't go tru him. grrrrrrrrrrrr

But yeah the quest is tough. 1 thing I do notice, is that there are 1 or 2 navy guards that are assigned to protect each barrel or crate. When you start searching a barrel or crate, no matter how far away they are, they WILL come for you. So I decided to kill the navy guards that are closest to the crates or barrels then do the search.

That works well for me.

Thats how I did it on beta (alone). I would check the least heavily guarded barrels and crates first, then, when I had to search barrels that were guarded by higher level guards and would die, I would switch worlds and go back and get the easier ones again.

I have helped a lot of people with this quest recently where groups of people went to help, and to be honest it seems easier (though maybe less fun) if you have only 1 or 2 people helping. When ever there are more than that, more of the guards come after you and its hard to keep up with who needs healing. If you have the strongest person using the cutlass and 1 person healing and using voodoo (or 2 people healing each other and the swordsman) it seems to go fairly smoothly. The person with the highest health should be the one to get agro (trigger the guards to come after him) and use the cutlass, then after the guards are dead the searcher can search.

One thing to remember is if you start to search and are hit, you will get a note saying no items found. That doesnt mean the barrel doesnt contain what you need, just that you didnt get to finish searching. Go back to it after the guard is killed to get the item. Its only when you see the "nothing interesting here" message that the barrel or crate doesnt contain what you need.

Good luck! Its hard, but it's a fun quest and great for leveling weapons.

If i log out, i appear in port royal when logged back in, if i logout and do this every couple of boxes, and sail all that way( also when i die, the samething appears ofc), that time this will be no fun :S

I think this quest is thought to accomplished by a group, or solo at least at lvl25.

So, i still wanna group, i think this will be morre fun, to accomplish the mission with a team work

That's the thing, how do you meet? They don't have secret friends codes in the game as yet, do they? And you can't add a friend if they are not right beside you in the game. Sounds like you might have to agree on a time and place to meet up.

It's definately more fun and less time consuming to do it with others, but it is possible to do it alone, too. I was just saying its better (as far as efficiency) to have a small group of people (1 or 2 helpers who will concentrate on keeping YOU healthy)rather than a larger group who attract more guards, because then everybody's falling over everywhere. LOL.

We had a group of people out there today, and at 2 different times 5 of the 6 people landed in jail at about the same time (and at least 3 of us were using voo doo and healing each other!). Fortunately, somebody was smart enough to run before they died so we didnt have to all sail back.

Yes, post a time, ocean, and place to meet. If I have a PC available, I'll help too.

I am in Central time zone. and i think a good place to meetwould be in the ocean Cruzos (it is usually empty.) my ing (in game name) is Silver Beard.
