Sailing Skill Question
I've been concentrating on improving my sailing skills as of late. I've been focusing on increasing speed. However, I've almost maxed out the passive speed increase skill.
Now, I have a question regarding the "speed burst" skill. After you invest your initial point in that skill, what does a second skill point do? Does it make the burst faster, the duration of the burst longer, or both? Thanks in advance. |

It makes it longer.
I use the speed burst skill a lot - it's useful if you're trying to run through a gauntlet of enemy ships. |

Speed burst is really useful for escaping enemy ships that are pelting you or to catch up to an enemy ship.
The extra point does make it last longer I believe.

Ramming speed is good for speed bursts, too. You dont get much additional time for the extra skill pts on the full speed skill . I find ramming speed a better place to put the skill points (in addition to one skill point on "full speed") as it will also cause some damage to an enemy ship, as well as being a source of speed whenever you want or need it.
