Guild Names

How do I get guild names? I have tried submitting different names several times but am stuck with a lousy number...HELP!

They told our guild leader that there was a bug in the system. Once a name is rejected, all the others he submitted were automatically rejected. What he was told to do was make a new guild and submit a name. So now we have a guild name Motely Crew is Bad to the Bones

They are aware of the bug and the test server has the fix which means the open server should have the fix soon too.

here is the official notice i received

"Thank you for contacting Pirates of the Caribbean Online.

We apologize, but there is currently a glitch with Guild Name approvals that makes it appear that all names are being rejected. What is happening is that after submitting a Guild Name, your name request goes into a queue to be reviewed for approval, but it is still possible to submit another name. However, all names submitted after the first are automatically rejected while the first submitted name is awaiting approval. Your first submitted name will still be reviewed and approved or denied normally.

The Pirates Online team is currently looking into this issue. All players will receive a fix to this problem in an upcoming patch, which will be automatically downloaded and installed when released."


Our previous name was actually rejected, so we had to create a new guild and then submit a name from there in order to work around the bug. A good way to test if a name will go through is to try to say the name in game using the filtered chat.

well I had chosen a name that could pretty much be said in game anyway. I also see a lot of names in there now.

yes, i can put some weight behind the note bad pete got.

I applied for a guildname, gave up waiting after 6 hours, and attempted another name, and it approved my original name, and ignored the 2nd attempt.
