I don't remember how much Health you have as a level 25, but I think padres back beach is a good place to start for any weapon really. If your about to die you just run into one of the houses and there are places to reload things like grenades and such.
Outcast is where I mainly leveled mine I think. There are gypsies on both sides of the island that helped out a lot. Another pirate to heal you is also a good idea. If you get a friend who hasn't mastered their voodoo doll than they will get rep too as you level. I helped a friend gain almost a full level once, just for healing me! It really all depends on how much your pirate can withstand, if there are gypsies or a quick escape anywhere close by, and what lvl enemies will give you max rep. Try to figure that out first. You don't want to be killing a level 39 if a lvl 29 will give you max rep as well. Hope that wasn't too confusing.. my mind tends to run in a million different directions when I type lol... If you are Notoriety 25 with cutlass level 20, you should worry about leveling your other weapons rather than your cutlass. Leveling them this much out of proportion will spell disaster in the long-run.

I agree.....I always try to keep weapons on the same level with the exclusion of grenades. I would recommend mastering those prior to anything else.

You're still a mess - but this will begin the balencing process. First by working all the other low weapons to level 6 (if already higher than 6 - work them 2 levels) you are rewarded over 200 additional HP and additional Voodoo which you'll need to begin the re-balence. Now take gernades to KingsHead fence and level them up as far as you can (You'll probably hit 30 with these alone...). Gernades are painful to level after Level 30 so get them out of the way (look for Gernade Guides in the Tips Forums). Now you're at L30 with Gernades out of the way - grab the staff and get it to L6 (Wither plus 2 points). While working to get the staff - use ONLY the other weapons to kill enemies (not your Sword) unless necessary! You've relyed too heavy on the sword and it now need a 'long overdue rest' With your new staff, go back to ther other weapons and level each of these up to L10-12 (this wil be some work - no one day adventure there...) - then take your shiny L6 staff and go to KH and begin Withering the Formation in the Grounds (the same group that you used to level those Gernades behind the KH fence in those guides you're gonna go read ) and take it up until the formation goes "grey" - probably L15 for your staff because your Notiety will still be a bit high...But this basically fixes you up (these are REALLY rough steps) - your sword will be L20, your other weapons will be around 12-13 and your staff at 15... then just keep working those owther weapons (using the sword now on occasion) - and you'll find Noriety 40 eventually

You got about 1300 hp points... at least on my experimental pirate I had about that much.

The only pirate I've done anything like that was my biggest pirate on my experimental account, I had my blades & grenades kinda close to each other. Gun & doll are easy to lvl imo plus I wanted to see what my weapons skills would be like, since I don't plan on mastering this pirate or anything or even coming close. ![]() Getting to the end of lvl 24, I didn't level anything but nades + 200 or so cutlass rep to lvl 20 cutlass and ended up at lvl 24 notoriety with mastered grenades. I lvled mostly in the Quarry for this pirate, mostly killing mercs, officers, hired guns. When you're a bit higher in notoriety, I'd say go to El Suderon or PDF Beach or Outcast like Pirategirl09 said... |

If your plan is to fully master your pirate then yes, you need to do what max explained.
However, recently ran into a pirate who was trying to max his cutlass before not. level 30 so he could use the staff almost exclusively. I explained that he should stop and master his grenades then level his weapons in unison. he told me he didn't care about nades or dagger because he didn't like them and his goal was not to have a fully mastered pirate. he was only interested in the "cool" staff skills and bladestorm, fury etc. The it hit me that i've always been in the mindset of fully mastering my pirates and there just may be other pirates out there with a different perspective of the game and have different goals!! so to answer casterwall i would concentrate on mercs in the quary, stumps stumps and more stumps. then spend the last two levels working in tormenta. hope that helps! |

If I were training for speed I'd "whack" Samuel in Beckett's quarry. You can stand next to the digger who will heal you if need be and you can earn lots of gold and drops from Samuel. If you had taken the time to check around and compare spots you would have found this out for yourself. Last edited by CaptainGreenGene; 04-19-2009 at 09:12 PM.. Reason: Sp |

Have fun!
Enjoy the game how you prefer to enjoy it. Its your time, play it the way you enjoy it. I always found the officers in the corner of the old Fort Dundee a good means of leveling my sword, however if already level 20, you may need to find something larger bigger, like the stumps mentioned in a prior post. |

Hey, the other week i mastered the cutlass and the doll, and i got to level 31 notoriety, and brought my sailing level to 15 and bought a war galleon... and this week i got my staff up to level 17 so, after i master my staff i am going to work on dagger, pistol, grenades and finish the black pearl quest, and that should do it, or master my pirate. Unless there are other ways to gain notoriety...?

My suggestion for you is to take the knowledge from Pirategirl09's chart, get a couple of friends, crew together, and take on Remington the Vicious in Kingshead (or any lv. 30+ boss) and train weapons from that. If you switch between weapons after getting 100 rep for one weapons (using the chart's knowledge), and do this constantly, you can get major rep. I got 409 rep once because I switched between dagger, sword, voodoo doll, and voodoo staff.

The only problem with Kingshead is that the guards all run through the fence now. Arrghh!

It doesn't have to be kingshead, any lv. 30+ boss will do, like the Undead Raider Boss on the other side of Padres Del Feugo town, or the Assassin Boss in the quarry on Padres Del Feugo. Either way, you get a lot of rep.

I would probably suggest Cutthroat Jungle or El Sudoron (On padres.) El sudoron has stumps and some other enemies, like raiders. Cutthroat also has stumps and a wider variety of enemies within a notoriety range of 30. I think you could handle them.
Don't forget that bosses are extremely hard to take down. I, myself being a level 39, I can't even take down a level 30 boss alone! Get help, and also remember you can only get 100 rep per weapon max unless you have a crew bonus. If you are looking for a lot of rep, try leveling up multiple weapons at the same time. For example, 5 hits on each weapon, and keep switching off. |
