Question Full Cargo hold and "Plunder

Avast me hearties!
A fundamental question. (forgive if already answered in another thread)
When sailing in regular (non-SvS) is there any advantage (monitarily) in continuing to sink ships once the cargo hold is full?
Logic dictates that it would not be, but when one gets a message stating "Plunder" does it add anything?

You're still getting rep if you continue to sink ships, but no, no monitary advantage.
