Angry 64 Bit Issues

Okay, every since the first major update that Disney Pirates online had while I have been playing (which has been about a year now) I crash within 1 to 15 minutes that I log in. I have constantly been on the phone with them. I finally gave up after three months of dealing with this, we got no where and they can't fix nothing it's always "we'll inform the developers". Okay, the last time I spoke with Disney they said the "developers" said they do NOT support 64 bit, only 32 bit and this is why I am crashing. I explained then why did I just start crashing AFTER this major update to fix the Kingshead Glitch, the Ship glitch, to give us these useless Bosses (well I find them useless). The only thing in this update that I found I like is the "Trainer". Anyway, that's beside the point, the point in saying all of that is that I "rarely" crashed, and when I say rarely I mean I may have crashed 5 times from February until that fix. This is my computer specs:
HP M8530F, AMD Phenom 9550 Quad Core Processor 2.20 GHZ, 5.00 GB Memory, 64 bit operating system, Vista Home Premium. I have all the updates to my computer. I have tried moving this file to different locations (from the program files 86 to just program files then just to the C drive no help) and the other day some girl said she has a 64 bit and runs pirates under the 32 bit internet explorer, ummm that I am pretty sure has nothing to do with it. I deleted pirates and redownloaded it FROM the 32 bit internet explorer and that I know has nothing to do with it because I still keep crashing. I have tried it with high graphics, medium, low.. mixed all up, checked boxes unchecked boxes NOTHING works. So, am I just going to wait for them to finally update their systems to 64 bit which I was told from a Disney employee that was not going to happen anytime in the near future. So, basically Disney only cares about 32 bit people. Anyone have any ideas of something I have NOT tried? Again, I did not have this problem till they updated the game with the useless stuff (other than the Trainer.. yeah I'm aggravated that with their update it has caused me to crash all the time and that they don't care).

I had the problem with crashing every five minutes using the test server. I have a quad core 64 bit pc with vista.

It seemed we fixed my problem by turning off all firewalls. I have not had any problems since then.

If you right-click pirates.exe (and launcher1.exe) go to "Properties", then on the "Compatibility" tab, have you tried forcing 32 bit mode? Also, after you login, after pirates connects and you see your pirate, are you able to enable all four processors in Task Manager (select pirates.exe, right-click, affinity.)

That's where I'd start, anyhow.

Yes Edward. I was going to tell you to do the Compatibility because it has worked for me. Use "windows XP" as compatibility not 2000/NT. Also change the security (if not set) to Administrator.
Once you in the game, kill the process launcher.exe.

Try that.
Hope this work for you and others as well as it worked for me. Good luck Matey!

Well, first off, let me thank every single person who has responded and who will respond. To the only three that has responded, I have learned a few things about games, so since I usually game I keep the firewall off during gaming (I'm glad it worked for you), secondly, I am the administrator, I went to it so excited thinking that could be the key and then I became saddened when (rofl) it wasn't the issue. Okay, sooooo to the last two that directed me into the compatibility, it showed it as using "windows xp service pack 2" (the only one available that said windows xp), so I went ahead and did it again and pressed "apply". However, I am not going to get my hopes set to high, since I am already the Administrator and my firewall I have down, and it already said it was at windows xp service pack 2. However, maybe me going and double checking everything, and reclicking everything will trigger something... so here's to trying. Goodluck to me! whoo hoo! Thank you all once again! )
