Looks like they're going the way of Shot-online.
The game itself and 99% of the content is free but you hve to pay for special items like exp doublers etc.

I would probably pay for playing locations. I would not pay probably, but i would want more playing locations.

But just knowing myself I would also pay for,
-Friends List
-Ships
-Weapon upgrades
