How do u board enemy ships

thats good but i need exact instructions i dont even know how to get a ship ready for boarding it seems to just happen sometimes

The only ship you can board are the ones with the flags over them. Once you hit the ship enough times the green circles will appear. That's when you start shooting your grappling hooks.

First, you have to disable an enemy ship with a flag over it (black/white or red/white).
Second, once disabled you need to man cannons and switch to grappling hooks.
Third, shoot until you have grappled the ship.
Fourth, kill all but one enemy on the deck of th eship with your cannon.
Fifth, click board ship.
Sixth, kill remaining crew.

You have now boarded and beaten an enemy ship.

As the PP said it is very helpful to kill all but one crew before you board the ship. I've had people tell me this can't be done but it can is very important in most cases. You may luck out and find a ship with only low levels so that is no problem. But you should always try to kill the crew with your cannon before boarding. You should have five minutes to do so before the captain has to make the choice to board. Saying that though if you take too long I believe more crew will reappear to replace the ones you killed.

I have actually killed all the crew on the navy/EITC ships using cannons, then boarded the ship. All it does is bring me back to my ship and we get the kill.
