Well other people have already posted but here's my advice....
Start getting them even by starting with the lowest level weapon first. Get that up to the third highest level. Then.... Well just get all your weapons to the highest level weapons level. Example: Your highest level weapon is 17...get them all to level 17. |

And I steer for almost every bb that I've been on, I win almost all of them in the green zone, and my toughness is... ummm... hahaha 0, no points in it lol. Quote:

I am sure I did quite a bit wrong, mastering grenades. I managed to throw one "at my own feet" within the last five minutes before fully mastering them. No worries - they are a useless weapon in practice. The point is that the passive skills are the only likely benefit you will get from them.I steer most bb that I go on - but I'm polite about it and never fight over the wheel or get pushy about it. I've had my share of bb in green, but usually an outside factor (like a noob stealing the wheel DURING the officers) will sway things quite a bit. Let me ask you: when did you learn to sail your boss battle? Prior to April when they changed it? Surely you've noticed the difference by now, right? And yet, there are still people who grab the wheel, even the day before yesterday, who try to run the middle bridges. Maybe in February/March, you could still do that...not now. But to learn how to sail it, now after that change this spring - yes, toughness is needed. I will say though, that toughness was absolutely essential, when I did my boss battle alone. Doing a boss battle alone is much, much trickier and harder than doing it with two people. Toughness was one of the things that made the difference. Anyhow, I'm glad to hear there are other good drivers out there. I am happy for you; I hope you get your method perfected even more. |

Using a variety of different ways, my record so far of most rep was 319pts off a mollusk, wish I had not mastered doll yet, or else I would be getting 419ish instead. Actually, I have not done my boss battle yet. Haha, I'm at 99% of the quest, but I'm saving it until I can win with less than 10% damage. My record is far is 14% damage, thought I was gonna break my record yesterday, but my crew wasn't able to take out the last bridge's right fort fast enough so we ended up with 19% damage =( Honestly I think it would have been only about 10% damage, but that fort hit us like 2 or 3x. I didn't start sailing for bb, until right after they changed it, around May. Back then & still now, I have seen people who try to convince everyone that fullsail/ramming speed thru all the bridges would make it an easy win, and they are totally speechless when we sink, "no duh!", I'm thinking about logging out when whoever that grabs the wheel has no idea what they are doing coz there is no point in arguing with how silly they are. Regardless, it is not impossible to fullsail/ram speed thru it... I was pretty surprised recently, the guy who had the treasure map, he sailed it thru with fullsail/ram speed, (with everyone in crew saying "OMG what are you doing", etc), and we somehow miraculously survived with only about 50ish% damage lol. Prior to sending the invite he had said that he's been able to get to the end to meet Goliath but he always sunk coz he'd do the battle himself without a crew to help shoot at Goliath. And if you have not noticed, the forts barely do any damage now after they updated it the same day they added privateering. My old record was 30% damage before the update a few days ago, one of the first ones I did right after the update, was the one I got 14% with. Not sure what they did, either they made the Black Pearl have stronger armor, or the forts are doing less damage. |

Bit off topic, but did do it solo the bb. It required most stats to be set up for that directly. Soon as they announced svs, I decided to work up another pirate, and ended up still waiting for it to come out after maxing that one out. Damage from canon, ramming speed, take cover etc, all was things to take for svs anyways. The way of ramming and full sail I have done that method as well, with take cover. If ya have a good crew you can take out the forts as you whiz by them.
Think I have another character somewhere that may be able to do the bb soon, have to check it out again if they changed it. |

The first boss battle walk through I read here (many months ago, while the boss was broken, and not on open) required Ramming speed skill, and specifically told you to ram the bridges.
Its obviously changed, but many may be basing thier strategies on that older information. |
