Wow, so many things fixed, I may have to eat my words and renew my subscription. They fixed the evil PvP thing? Wow, that is worth a few gold doubloons!

My first experience with privateering (in the first 1/2 hour, after d/l & signing in, finding the PvP islands, finding a crew and boarding - then the servers dropped) was just simply fantastic. Sailing for the French makes it too easy to just kill everything Spanish. I kept seeing "...Defeated (Spanish) 10 in a row" and stuff.

It is still hard to find a crew (as hard as ever) and there is definitely something weird going on. One of the French ships I was crew on, was being driven by a Spaniard (Player name was "Kelly" level five) after the ship's owner had been disconnected - which was the one of the two times I was on a French ship that sunk. The other is a weird "out-of-bounds" glitch, where if you go as far as the opposition's island, your boat LOCKS UP and cannot move or fire at all. (I had been doing "Ramming speed" to blast through eight or nine Spanish ships that had spawned simultaneously in front of me; instead of going past and to the left of Avaricia where I was pointed, it just locked up.)

Vive La France!

Looks like history shall repeat itself - the Spanish Armada is being quickly destroyed. Why is sea treasure always "doubloons" instead of "Louis D'ors"? Perhaps only the Spanish war galleons ever sunk...
