Poisoned while sailing?

The poison bug affects everyone on board, not just the captain, if that's what you mean. Or if you're referring to being injured from using explosives while cannoning, if your captain is sailing too close to an enemy ship and you fire explosives at it, you can be wounded from the blast--knocked out, even. I don't believe that's a bug (though Will can correct me if I'm wrong since he's more of an expert at this stuff); it's just... being too close

That's actually not it at all. I was with 2 others on the ship and neither were wounded nor losing health like I was. I was wondering if it was the same because I got a new dagger (knives of the sun idol to be exact) and began leveling my dagger after I got them. It was after I had used them that I began losing health when I shot cannons.
