Actually, being the weather bug that I am, Dust Devils aren't actual tornados...they share the same characteristics - ie column of air, but tornados are formed in the mesocyclone of a supercell thunderstorm...

A dust devil is just an updraft, usually on sunny days during fair weather...you could even run thru one because the winds are light...there are rare occassions where one could damage property, etc but even those have winds that aren't close to an F1 tornado...

well once in 4th grade there was a dust devil on the playground! but i was on the other side so i didnt get to jump into it o.o
