Would you like storms in POTCO?

I would be interesting in seeing weather. Having your ship break a waves crest and slide down the backside would be really cool. Weather could damage yer sails, lighting crashes into yer ship and the rolling waves disturb your line of direction. Ye would be putting yer ship and yer life (trip to jail) at risk.

While I would love to see it I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

I've been asking for this for quite some time. It would be cool to battle Undead ships while being spun around ( auto-pilot, no need to turn or go forward/backward or raise/lower sails ) on a giant whirlpool.

Also, while a storm is going on, the Thunderbolt cannon ammo gets a 5%-15% damage boost ( depending on how bad the storm is. The worse it is, the better your Thunderbolt ).
NPC Ships also get the damage boost, to even the odds.

Hurricanes could just push you around, get in your way and turn your ship off course. Or, in other words, be very annoying.

Would love it! Weather in the caribbean would make everything more interesting, even on land. Think about how it would be to fight hand to hand in the rain, not just sailing combat. This idea will be on my list of dreams for POTCO. I doubt that disney will want to add this soon if at all.

Well ,if you sink in a tropical storm I would say the same as if a Juggernaut did it,jail.Perhaps every large wave could even take some damage to your ship.Then possably even re-introduce the old sailing timer.

You know, this actually made me remember that old Timer. Not to go off-topic, but I'd really like it if Disney put that back in. You don't find it normal that a ship is stuck at sea forever, do you?

Even though the timer was annoying, it added yet another great challenge at sea. Hurrying to Outcast before those last 14 seconds are over.

Back On-Topic: Chances are, Disney might PROBABLY add weather elements as time goes by. For now, though, they have other things to worry about...

Sailing threw giant typhoons while trying to kill a very high ship? That sounds like a challenge for me!!!! Just imagine the graphics required though to create the clouds and rain.... And all that LAG!!!!! I would love to have storms, but big D will need quite some new upgrades....

I like the idea of storms for all the reasons stated (not so sure about snow lol). My concern is all the lag it would most certainly cause. The programming that would be involved would be complex and it would be very taxing of computer systems I'm sure. Probably only computers with high end graphics cards could handle it. For me the storms aren't worth the cost in playability.

I would say go for it Disney. As we all may know, there were alot of storms in the potco movies aye? The Maelstrom is POTCO 3, the Rain in POTCO 3, the main characters all had to survive that. I think it would be awesome and realistic, but that would cause lag, and disney would have to take some detail out of other things. Is it worth it guys?

I would so no That lag would be so bad when storms happen you would just ether get kicked or lag untill you get mad and turn of your Comp. Maybe if they made it a mode Like turn weather on or turn weather off. Like they have with 3-D that would be alot better.
