Would you like storms in POTCO?

Who would like to see weather or large storms such as hurricanes in POTCO? I myself would like that after D begins to expand the Caribbean.

That would be fun sailing into a middle of a huge storm XD.

It all depends what I would be sailing into the bad weather. I know I wouldn't be using
a Xebec in the middle of a hurricane, It has to shallow of a draft, but if sailing a heavy strong ship like a East Indiaman, sure,
I'll sail through Hell and back with my crew. :mat:

"Brace the foreyards, lighten the main stay, get me my tea, and whatever you do, don't forget the crumpets!" :pirate91:

Little occasional rain might be interesting. But big storms? No thanks. And not till we get other real new content!

OoOo Nuju DONT SAY THAT and i say YES!!! TORNADOES!! EVERYTHING!

Maybe some snow in the winter too.

Captain Del 01-12-2010 11:10 PM

Of course I want storms! That would not only be a great addition to game visually, but it would also test a sailors skills a little more when your trying to fight a Juggernaut in a downpour.

And as for hurricanes, meh, why not!

I would be interesting in seeing weather. Having your ship break a waves crest and slide down the backside would be really cool. Weather could damage yer sails, lighting crashes into yer ship and the rolling waves disturb your line of direction. Ye would be putting yer ship and yer life (trip to jail) at risk.

While I would love to see it I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

I would want less lag first... Think of the lag with storms

Snow in the Caribbean? That won't happen for another 189,000 years! :smiley18:

I think leveling up the Juggernaut's power will be me next poll. That level 30 mastered sailing gives more edge I would imagine.I would like fighting a Juggernaut in a tropical storm myself! :sailr:

Well, since this is a game I really don't see why not.

CarribeanThunder 01-13-2010 03:22 AM

I've been asking for this for quite some time. It would be cool to battle Undead ships while being spun around ( auto-pilot, no need to turn or go forward/backward or raise/lower sails ) on a giant whirlpool.

Also, while a storm is going on, the Thunderbolt cannon ammo gets a 5%-15% damage boost ( depending on how bad the storm is. The worse it is, the better your Thunderbolt ).
NPC Ships also get the damage boost, to even the odds.

Hurricanes could just push you around, get in your way and turn your ship off course. Or, in other words, be very annoying.

This would make POTC 100X better!

Well, did you see snow in POTCO 1-3, aside from them traveling to the Arctic?
