Welcome to my first ever picture guide!

This time it will be a guide to battling on land, rather than sea. Sometimes it's nice to kick back and whip out the sword after a long, hard day at sea, no? Please note I will not be covering Grenades or Staff. I don't have Staff quite yet, and Grenades still have bugs to them. I'll add them if they glitches are cleared.

Please feel free to comment and add your thoughts to the guide. This one is going to take me a while to complete, so bear with me!


The Weapons:

F1: The Cutlass

The Cutlass is the first weapon you should get. If you don't have it, visit Will in the Old Warehouse, directly across from the EITC Docks at Port Royal. The cutlass is the most destructive of the basic 4 weapons in the game (Pistol, Doll, Dagger, Cutlass). When used correctly, the Cutlass can be quite a danger to enemies. The Cutlass has no strength against anything but also has no weakness. If you're willing to take quite a load of damage to your pirate but want to get the thrill of sword fighting, press F1.

F2: The Pistol

After you receive your Pistol from Barbossa on Devil's Anvil, run around and shoot some of the crabs on the beach there. You'll soon discover how good the Pistol is. Unless your enemy has grenades, voodoo (exception: if you have Hex Eater shot), or the Dagger, this is a fabulous weapon. You can shoot while backing up or fire up close. Use Take Aim to get a more accurate and desctructive shot, or shoot the basic shot to get some fast damage in. Strengths: Against any non-range weapon enemy. Weakness: Ranged weapon enemies.
