Not sure where the TP rant came from ...
But... All sorts of games have a quick travel option, after all this isn't a pirate simulator, it's a pirate game for kids. Running back and forth between islands trying to avoid the seas which are as thick as a Los Angeles freeway is just as lame as teleporting between islands. If they actually spread ships out and made their distribution somewhat logical I'd be right with you, remove teleportation. As it stands, it's nice to be able to avoid the wall of ships I don't want/need to fight just to get to cuba.
