GRRR!!!

I've had to delete two people on my friends list in a week (it would be more but I stopped taking these wacky randoms) due to TP'ing to my ship while I'm training cannons and taking it over and driving (steer, or whatever the appropriate boating term is) it.


Jeeeez, I don't come over to your car while you're doing something else and start it up and take off, why do you think you can butt into my ship business?? AND even after asking to STOP THE SHIP they continue to steer and broadside!!!

No more randoms for me, and no more worrying if they're kids or whatever....I'm trying to test the game as many ways as I can, and have fun doing it - if you're going to be annoying me it's BYE BYE!

I haven't had that happen to me yet (knocks on wood), but it would be nice if we can click yes or no to allow people on our ship.

It's annoying if people commandeer your ship and start driving it around if they are a
horrible driver. But if they just needed the sailing points and did not fire broadsides
or drive horribly, I just would not care at all.

Silly Princess, you need to friend me and run my cannons while I sail.
My cannon level is so low b/c I run around broadsiding everything.
Would make a good teamup.

Sure, let's meet up sometime...I've got my cannon skills really high due to working on that bug, so I can cannon while you sail or we can switch it up so you get cannon exp.

Better yet, we can just park the boat and both cannon the close ships; you can gain a ton of treasure with less chance of sinkage that way. And you CAN get sunk while idling, I've had it happen a couple of times...especially with the war and ghost ships.

I did have a better night since I got rid of the whacked friends though! :P

I don't think we should be able to tp at all. You don't see Will Turner saying, "I've spotted Tortuga. I'm going to teleport there and ready the dock. Be back in a minute, Jack." I guess teleporting from friend to friend is fine, but I don't think we should be able to teleport from island to island. And, to be on topic, we should be able to regulate who comes on our ships.

But...
All sorts of games have a quick travel option, after all this isn't a pirate simulator, it's a pirate game for kids. Running back and forth between islands trying to avoid the seas which are as thick as a Los Angeles freeway is just as lame as teleporting between islands. If they actually spread ships out and made their distribution somewhat logical I'd be right with you, remove teleportation.

As it stands, it's nice to be able to avoid the wall of ships I don't want/need to fight just to get to cuba.

Hmm, I think there should be a window that comes up when a crew mate tries to steer and asks the captain if they are allowed to steer. I doubt that it will ever happen.. But, It's just a thought.

I must agree. I don't mind befriending lessor/learning pirates but when they teleport to my ship whilst I'm working a quest or skill and want to take over...Argggh. In toontown, other toons could not teleport to you when you were in a building, I think sailing should be the same, other than those you specified to join you as crew.

It's happen to me before too Silly Princess and I'm on your list and wouldn't do that to you or anybody I would only sail another pirate's ship if the person told me to do so

Yeah, but we would still teleport from island to island, except we would just annoy
our friends more by saying "Where are you? Are you on Kingshead?" a million times
until we get where we want to go.
