War Sloop worth it?

Today I just reached 20k gold and level 15 sailing, and my thoughts were:" Should i buy the war sloop, and use the sloop to get a war galleon, or is a war sloop a waste of 20k,and should just save for the war galleon?" I wouldn't know because I never owned a war sloop.

Davy's thread states: "War Sloop: In my opinion, the best ship for those who don't have speed upgrades. Very fast, fairly good health stats, adequate number of cannons cannons, broadsides, cargo space, and crew space. I rate this ship a 8.5/10.

War Galleon: Fairly slow ship, but lots of cargo space, quite a bit of cannons, broadsides, and crew space make this a fantastic ship. If you have the speed upgrades, pick this ship if you can't afford the War Frigate. Great boat, but save up for the War Frigate if you want to wait. I rate this ship a 9/10."
