My wish list
This post serves two purposes for me...one; to vent my spleen somewhere formally and two; hoping (against rational hope) that a big D power-that-be might actually read the cursed thing. And, yes, this is the order I'd like to see them released in game.
1 a. Raise the notoriety level! 1 b. Raise the weapons and skills levels! 1 c. Give us a new story chapter! 1 d. Raise the gold cap! In my opinion those things HAVE to happen simultaneously. There's no point in implementing one alone, as it would be moot. After those here are the rest: 2. Fix the lag! I personally will put up with the lag a while longer if I've actually got something concrete to do. but at times it's just insane. 3. Put the Boss Battle back to it's original conditional of being available as a solo event. I am LIVID that you MUST undertake this endeavor with at least one other pirate! I can't even begin, on a family site, to tell you how much I hate that the option to attempt the Boss Battle alone has been taken away. 4. Introduce sea monsters, i.e.; the Kraken. Now that may be the entire point of a new story chapter, I don't know. But if it's not, thing bring it on. 5. Introduce more "populated" islands. I think most long-time players have scoured nearly every square inch of the existing islands. Give us some new places to visit. 6. Allow for ship customization - you've got too many player's clamoring for it to ignore the desire for it. 7. Allow pets - I personally don't give much of a fig about this one, one way or another, but again...too many players want this feature to disregard it. 8. If you insist on continuing Jolly Roger's curse move it to dedicated servers. If I wanted to PvP I would. I'm tired of playing under goat-vomit-green skies and having this event forced on me. 9. Cuba is a "populated" island in that there's a shipwright, a tavern, a jail and a tonic seller - finish it out and put a gunsmith and swordsmith on it, as well as s tailor, jeweller and tattooist. Then we've got a solid base with which to sail to Perdida and Tormenta from (and some of those new islands I've requested). 10. Give us more things to buy - the pork tonic at the Founder's Feast was a huge help in some cases...implement it full time into the game. Add additional jewelry and tattoos for purchase. You're working on the inventory system for clothing - excellent! Increase the inventory size. Ship customization will also help greatly with the overabundance of gold that many pirates face. Why not some doo-dads with which to customise our pirate's appearance - hair and clothing decorations and such? Where are the scars that were originally touted would be available? Perhaps a telescope to carry with our effects? A walking stick with which to distinguish ourselves? A fan, a lantern...I don't know. But pirates were a vain lot! Much like mermaids of lore, collecting pretties...and speaking of mermaids... 11. Put mermaids in the game. Not only were pirates vain, they were superstitious...how I would love a mermaid island that would suck your ship in with the beguiling songs, against which you'd have to pit your best sailing wiles to escape! 12. More hair options....*shudder* what you've got leaves a LOT to be desired! Whew. Alright. I feel much better having spewed that lot out. In my own humble case, those implementations, or even just the first set, for the sake of Calypso, would keep me happily paying to play this game for some long time. There now...if you've read all of this - silly! You could have been playing the game. But no, thank you, for reading my rant/beg. May fair winds find ye. |
