Fighting without getting enemy hits...

Maybe this is a bug, maybe a trick, or perhaps just the way the game goes, so i'm not sure which forum to put it in. If the powers that be think it should be somewhere else...groovin

I, like so many others, am waiting for the boss battle to be fixed, and am just leveling weapons at this point. I went to Driftwood this morning to fight some humongo crabs and work on my gun and dagger and noticed something odd.

There is a spot on the island where the big guys spawn every few seconds, and it's super close to the water. While shooting at one, and stepping back every couple of shots so I wouldn't get run over, I noticed that everytime I got my feet in the water, I wasn't taking any damage. So I tested it....go up on the beach, start shooting a lev 23 crab, lure it towards the water, get my feet wet and stand still.....didn't get a scratch. Took a few steps out of the water, and then the thing could attack me back. Back in the water a bit, and I could damage the heck out of the thing without a single health point lost.

Not losing any health was cool, but I also noticed I didn't earn any gold from these attacks either.

Is this supposed to happen? Anyone else experience this? Have I just let a big secret out of the bag? LOL
