Del... I honestly believe that no, there isn't.
It has been tried, and it hasn't really been successful. It was a great idea brought to the table by Countainer, and I admire you for taking this on Del, but it's just not working. The past few months haven't really been successful, to be honest. At first, yes, I was very optimistic about this. Bring in guilds from the entire Caribbean, wouldn't that be amazing? But it's been tried so many times before in the past, and it has never been completely successful. My personal opinion is that it should not be continued. Perhaps a time in the future, there can be success with a project like this. But at the current time? No. |

if we are going to do it then there is only one way to do it the same way you make a guild more active expand. most of us are gms we know that it might work and if it doesn't what do we have to lose you were talking about closing it down. we really should give it a go and try to keep it active. For one thing the forums can't sustain this with its current population. we need to bring in guilds that up to this point have been in game only or on another forum. Who wouldn't want to be associate with pnc and other people and guilds within the conclave. it might be a good idea to get the best brightest and most famous pirate the Caribbean has ever known. specifically Igor (he one something in-game once) corlos/tresurer (recently his name has come up frequently with spania) del is also a selling point but we have him if we didn't the conclave would be dead already. ok so here's the plan we all know a gm or more than one. so the plan is we ask them to come to the forums then ask the gm to bring there guild into the conclave (it might work) that might just get our percent of activity according to del is 30%. also post events that happen within the conclave on member guilds thread makes scene right.at any rate it is worth a try.

I would agree with Del, I think we should close the Conclave.
Countainer, that seem a very complicated plan. What Del is saying is that the people within is not showing a lot of support and commitment. We can't expand if we don't have commitment from our original members. So I think we should shut down the Conclave. |

It's not that I have a lack of faith in this. It was a great plan down on paper, but putting it in to affect was, in short, a disaster.
The Conclave ended up as far too complex and challenging to handle. Coupled with misguidance and political based arguements, it slowly grew in to a monster, that turned off anybody that had even thought about getting involved. In order for something like this to have worked, it would have needed a huge backing and smooth set up early on, which we all know it didn't posses. Trying to make this in to a breakout was an everyday effort for me, but I think that there are some things even a well-polished crew can't accomplish. All this Conclave has had to thrive on was controversy and "selling points," which I highly doubt are good enough to keep something alive and well. Maybe this plan could be revised and recreated in the future, when we have more support and a better pre-plan. But for now, I'm standing my ground when I state that the Conclave will be officially closing, based on a major concensus by the guilds of said Conclave. |

I personally am neutral either way. If more people decide to participate, it would be a success. I personally like The Conclave idea, and think it could prosper, but people don't choose to be active in it. It is sad, but it is what is happening.
If The Conclave shuts down, then so be it. As one of my favorite bands once said, I'll leave when The Wind Blows. |

Well, it was.. interesting, while it lasted. I'm going to bee taking the same path as Davy, and removing Lawrence from the Conclave.
