I've been meaning to get my D-name reset, so I went on Live Chat to do so today. I had tried to do this last week, but I had got a strange response saying that "The tool we use for resetting D-names is not working currently and should be up soon." I didn't really believe them, but I decided to just go with it anyway. So I went on today, as they said it maybe working in a few days. It had been a week. So I enter the chat, and get this:

Thank you for your patience. A Technical Support Representative will be with you shortly.
You are now chatting
Representative: Greetings Pirate.
Representative: Welcome to Live Chat.
me: Hello Don! Thank you.
me: I was wondering if I could get my D-name reset? I was told by a friend I could do it on Live Chat.
Representative: No, I am very sorry.
Representative: But we do not allow for D-names to be reset or changed.
Representative: My apologies for any inconvenience.
me: That's strange, because I know people that had them changed on Live Chat.
me: Is this a new policy?
Representative: No, this is not a new policy.
Representative: I cannot comment on any other guest's D-name.
Representative: I am very sorry.
me: Interesting. That's not what I was told before. Thank you anyway.
Representative: You're more then welcome.
Representative: Is there anything else that I can address for you?
me: No, that's all.

I left then without another word. I find it very interesting that they would say this to me. They have always let people reset D-names before, and now they say that I cannot, and its NOT a new policy?
I find it interesting that:
1) I have seen people change their D-names.
2) They told me they have a tool to change D-names, but they do not allow people to change them? Then tell me what the point of having a tool to do that is, please.
Comments? I welcome them. I will probably try again soon to get my D-name changed, and I'll post my results.
