What are your favorite pirate movies, other that POTC 1, 2, and 3?

i have not seen any pirate movie other than POTC 1,2 and 3

my favorite was 2 the dead mans chest :degen:

There are many more and even I can't think of them all.

Or, Pippi Longstocking in the south seas? (Early 70's)
I know these are more kids flicks but they should count

"Captain Ron" which also is supposed take place in the Caribbean has a reverence when Martin Short's character asks Ron if he has been to Disneyworld one too many times when Ron said the guns were for protection from the Pirates of the Caribbean.

that one film about edward teach was pretty good, no famous actors or directors. it even looked like a tv movie for a cable channel. but the story was real good.

Muppet Treasure Island rocks. The Brigands, a piratey band out of Long Island, covers some of the tunes.

I forgot about Goonies and it is one of my favorites too.

That opening song is one of my all time favorites! When our guild site had a jukebox on it, I made sure the Muppet songs were on there...

What about "The Pirate Movie" that was pretty cute I thought lol. Goonies is one of my all time favorite movies & is a Pirate movie in it's own right too!! Of course as a Pixie Pirate I too have to add Peter Pan also !

Just thought of another that has pirates in it and it is even disney, "Swiss Family Robinson"

We might be thinking of the same movie, a TV movie just called "Blackbeard." Was supposedly pretty historically accurate but I don't really think it was. Had some real-life famous names like Maynard and Calico Jack but the story was about him searching for Captain Kidd's treasure. Was a good movie all the same. ;)

Hook was good (Dustin Hoffman was awesome).

And, how about an honorable mention for 'The Princess Bride'??? It did bring us the Dread Pirate Roberts.
