Safety Crack Down
Recently there has been an overall tightening of security in all Disney games and this is a very good example of their new proactive stand on game misconduct. I noticed this in Club Penguin recently also and I have to applaud Disney for attempting to clean up the seas in POTC. There is entirely too much nonsense going on and it ruins game play for everyone.

If Disney is so anti-rum, perhaps they should close all the bars in Downtown Disney. And then there's a pub or two at Epcot. Oh yeah, I seem to remember a cart selling bottles of wine sitting right out in the open where any little kid could see it!

I kinda wonder if they would suspend me for talking about a short cut to Darkhart on padres beach. The only advantage I'd get using this is I can get to DH faster.

Honestly, while I think glitches are good sometimes, sometimes there not and it's cheating the game. But still, I don't think a member should be banned or punished by using them, let alone just mentioning it. If they don't want to fix the glitches or make it harder for them to use the glitch, then it's their fault, in my opinion.

Im sad! Ive been suspended about 30 times!! IM NOT KIDDING! yea... i dont even say anything bad (well sometimes) but one time i said no joke and they suspended me for that!!! I mean seriously!? I realy hate disney but love potco so i have to deal with it... Oh and my unlimited lv 21 person (Margaret Truehound) Was banned awhile back i havent called yet cuz im scared lol, so i made a new person (Nelly O'Hawk) I didnt do any quests cuz i thought i would just get my other account back. Well then Nelly got banned! So then Maggie Truehound was born!! (YAY!) And she got banned the next month!
 So i made anotther Maggie Truehound and she has been suspended once already. Sorry this is so long but im letting out how i feel lol. So if u know Margaret Truehound or Maggie Truehound I AM NOT DEAD!!! Im realy gonna try to call disney! wish me luck!

You can fight it. I was suspended once for using Midget in a sentence. But it was part of a guild's name. I contacted Disney - fought it and won! They reinstated Eliza and actually Credited me the three days though I was only actually off-game for one. You can fight City Hall! EC |

Since the June 6, 2009 updates were applied, Disney now has an automated system to seek out offensive chat. It works.
As a father, I called Disney to compliment their efforts to keep the game clean. I did, however, point out that a ban on playing for 1 to 3 days was not as effective as a suspension of chat privileges, for a like period or longer. (I suggested a week, or its equivalent, see the following.) The details of my suggestion were these: allow the offending player to continue, but block all sending of chat messages, and block receipt of Whispers by the offending player. In addition, I suggested that anyone attempting to Whisper to that player during the suspension of chat privileges would get a message saying that the Whisper could not be received, due to chat suspension. I told Disney that this would help the game much more, as it would make the punishment fit the crime, and it would alert friends and guild members to the possibility that they may want to reconsider their association with the punished player. As is, the player comes back after 3 days, and it's just as if they were on vacation for that time. Yes, of course, the player could also sit out this kind of suspension, but not if it was timed, say, for 20 hours of game play -- the clock would not start unless the player was in the game. I have little sympathy for those who give out email addresses, swear, use foul language, or threaten other users. I am particularly offended when players think they have the right to ask other players to leave an area, because they don't want to "lose rep". Kids -- and those of you who think this way are kids -- when foes are killed quickly, the foes replot that much faster, and everyone gets rep, though in smaller and faster chunks, and fewer die during the battles. If you haven't learned this, then quit whining and move to another, quieter server, so you can be by yourselves, and let the rest of us enjoy the game. I have reported players who have used threatening tones in chat, such as one who was using all caps and claiming to be an EITC operative (who just happened to belong to a Pirate Guild, chuckle) and who threatened to kill or otherwise harm another pirate player. (The object of this idiot's rage was a SpeedChat pirate, an obvious child account.) Yes, I do think that the inline censor is heavy-handed at times. It will allow the singular use of a word, but not its plural; it will allow one form of a word but not another (allows "competition", but "competitor" comes up red). I also think that the numbers 1, 2, and 3 could be allowed as harmless -- it is unlikely that anyone's phone number or mailing address would contain just those digits. These are minor annoyances, however; most in the game have found ways around them (using "won" for 1, "too" for 2, and "tree" for 3). Chat can be offensive, and when it is, I'm glad Disney takes steps to squelch it. I don't envy them this task, oriented as the game is towards pre-teens and teenagers. If Disney makes mistakes in the attempt to police the chat, then I can live with that. Roger Dreadnaught

Well looks like im the next victim for the 72 hour account suspension. Im not taking this suspension lightly either, I dont think it was right.

Everythings fine now, im back, and up and running. To leave things short, their filters caught me saying something, and it was a total mis understanding. I sorted it out with a client there, who was very polite through all of it. And with one apology from myself, and a little bit of "I'm sorry it wont happen again" my suspension was lifted.
I could understand why the filters could pick up, but it was all a mis understanding. Anyways, I did learn from that. |

I've been suspended for 24 hour and yes it is quite annoying when they had absolutely no reson...
In their email they quoted a message i told me best mate about creating him a account on something else anyone care to explain how that is grounds for suspension Oh well live and let live aye? |

Discussing any outside program or game will get you and automatic suspension, D views it as a possible endangerment to kids and a violation of their chat policy.
