Basil's Plunder Party, Dueces Wild Guild Night Events

Don't forget that tonight is "FLEET" Armada night!
Everyone on their own War ship. Sailing together as a fleet, engaging everything we can sink!
Those who don't have a warship of their own, crew with those who do, but let's see if we can get at least 12 ships sailing together out there tonight.
My suggestion is that we grab a quiet server, sail out from either PDF or Cuba. Group up in 3 ship clusters if we can, and empty the seas of those hated Navy and EITC ships!

I put this as a Sticky now. A lot of us have this thread tracked for updates, so now it will be easier to find.

Fleet Armada night seemed to be a big success! (We made #5 for ships sunk!) I would like those who participated to let me know which way seemed best, the standard Armada, with fewer ships but larger crews, or the Fleet with minimal crews. (Kinda doing a poll here.)

Next Wednesday is the day before Thanksgiving. I'm sure some of us are going to be traveling, and others will be busy getting ready for the feast with the in-laws.(UGH) Soooo, I'm not going to plan a full guild event for that night.

Those of us who are on then may decide to do something together, like plunder KH or something, but I'm not gonna make it any formal event.

Just to let people know about future plans:
SvS night is coming! Form into two crews, one French and one Spanish, and see who comes out on top after 2 to 3 hours!
PvP, Double elimination tournament! Teams of 2 pirates, each team will be assigned a challenger, and they will go into PvP. The winners to the winners bracket, the losers to the losers bracket, keep going til your team gets beat twice. The team that keeps winning gets to move on. Weapons will be assigned to each combat. Only one or two weapons allowed each time, and they will vary between rounds.

AND, I am working on another Scavenger Hunt list! This one will be done a little differently, and will span multiple weeks.

I think I would prefer a more crewed smaller Armada. When we were travelling in that big pack, we were taking them down fast but the rep given for the crew stinks. I'm mastered in sailing so that rep doesn't really matter to me. We were also too closely packed in for some of it. I think the Fleet's a good idea for sinking ships for the rankings, though. I think I'd want to do some cannonning next time around though.

Was everyone getting decent plunder for Fleet night? Anyone have a guess on how the type of plunder (royal/treasure/crate) is decided with multiple ships firing on one target? When I found Will's ship at first, I was getting 2 royals a ship with us two beating on them at the same time. I currently have 5 in treasure sense for the time being (will reskill it later for sure) but had never had that kind of streak. Throughout the evening my plunder holds were pretty good. Good enough to finish off my funds for a War Galleon. I think I got about 6k maybe.

Just an update.

There is no "formal" guild event planned for this Wednesday night. A lot of us have plans for traveling, or just doing things to get ready for the holiday on Thursday, so I wasn't going to plan anything special.

Those of us who are ingame, maybe do someting together, but maybe not.

And for EVERYONE....... Happy Tanksgiving! Hope your holiday is festive, your families are happy and healthy, and the dinner makes everyone undo their belt and the first button on their pants!

Great GM's (past and present) and incredibly fun guildmates to play pirates with.

Although I don't ever do SvS, I'm thinking that it might be fun to do an SvS night.

Here is my plan:
We get everyone ingame and choose 2 "Commodores". Each Commodore chooses their crews from those players that are available.
One Commodore goes French, while the other goes Spanish.
Each Commodore gets to make his own choices as to how to deploy his personnel. Maybe all in one crew, or maybe smaller crews with multiple ships.

We SvS each other, and anyone else who may be on that server. Do this for about 2 - 3 hours, and see who wins the most battles.

As people come ingame, they get split between the two crews. As people leave the game, they get replaced by newcomers. Keeping the teams equally balanced.

Using Vent will be a lot of fun, too. And remember, there are seperate crew areas there, so each team can have their own isolated channel.

Let me know what you think of this, we have time to change things, if noone is interested.

I think that sounds like fun. This shouldn't be a problem if we find a nice quiet server. I nominate Goth to be a commodore!
