well the thing was in the second movie they ended it with the star of the movie being ate by the Kraken so they wouldn't want the star of the movie dying and just end it there with nothing more.

I loved the third movie! And if they stopped it at the second, a lot of fans would be really angry! I do not want the pirate movies to ever stop, i love them all!

See for me it was the 2nd movie I wasn't that crazy about, but the 3rd one I thought was pretty good. They sort of left us off with a cliff hanger there lol We must know what happens with the Fountain of Youth thing. I really think they'll do a 4th movie, if they didn't they're just stupid =P
I'd really really like to see a 4th movie. Johnny Depp as I recall said he'd do a 4th in some interviews he did. Think about it, without Johnny Depp you have no movie. I almost think the same with Barbossa, one reason I think I didn't like the 2nd movie as much was cause he was missing til the end.

and i admit it would be weird seeing a kid jack...and mabey (if it happens) a kid barbossa...id call that SUPER WEIRD but i have a burning curiosity just wondering what disney would do if something like that did happen in the movie. id probable bust out laughing until i was crying from laughter...wich would be VERY funny. kid jack+me laughing me head off+jonny depp's ffuunnyy extras in all the movies= super funny movie

lol That would be amusing. I just really want them to make another one. They left it open, it's their fault for getting our hopes up. How can they leave us like this *looks at the end of Pirates 3* We better get a 4th

my friend (who is very much in love with the movie business) told me that there probably won't be a POTC 4 because Keira Knightley is retiring. At least thats what she told me... :-(

Keira isn't the one retiring, she just said she didn't want to do anymore.

Orlando is the one retiring. Johnny said he'd stay as long as the scripts were good, but I don't think they'll do anymore with only one of them.

Here's my idea for number 4...
and if Disney uses it, I will expect credit and compensation!!!

Elizabeth finds a way to release Will from his curse and sets out on a quest for the solution...but she can't do it alone of course, there are only two men, Sparrow and Barbossa who can save Will, and first she has to find them and bring them together (along with their crews of course) and a few other new characters!

And heres one other note to Disney...if you can't get the same actors, don't bother making the movie!

I think there will be a 4th and it will be called: Pirates Of The Carribean 4: The Fountain of Youth. You know at the end Jack has the map to the fountain of youth.

Jack Sparrow is searching for the Fountain of youth and that has something to do with releasing Will Turner...thats how Elizabeth meets up again with Jack and finds out about a way to free Will!

Elizabeth and Will's story is over. If there are sequels to the Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy, they will focus only on Jack, the Pearl, Barbossa, and new pirates. Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom have said that they do not want to be in any POTC sequels and that they wish to see the series evolve on its own now.

Besides, nobody likes Will or Elizabeth. By the 3rd movie, people were only going to see Jack.

Sorry...didn't realize you were the Press agent for Knightley and Bloom.

Also didn't realize that you were the spokesperson for everyone else who has seen the film?!
I happen to think Orlando Bloom is a fine actor and Keira Knightley is a beauty to watch...please don't assume you speak for everyone.

Wow where do I start on this?

First I will state I would LOVE to see a fourth.

Second I would like to disagree with ANYONE who thinks that there should not be one!

Third to those specifically who think the third left no openings: Did you even watch the end of the third movie at all?

They clearly left story openings with the whole fountain of youth thing. Will Jack or Barbossa get there first? Also as others have said, I don't think Will and Elizabeth's story is over either. I agree that there could be a part of the story where Elizabeth has to try to break Will's curse. Also, did everyone foget about Tia/Calypso? They could work something in where Elizabeth needs to recapture Calypso and make her human again so that she could get Calypso/Tia to help her break Will's curse (maybe Elizabeth needs the fountain of youth to make Calypso human again?). I just think there are a few different ways they could go with the fountain of youth thing as the main storyline and different ways to work the will & elizabeth stuff in as well.

Also I would like to state that Johnny Depp's kids even love him being Jack Sparrow (he even came to his kids birthday party as Jack Sparrow once) so if it came down to it I'm sure he would do a 4th just to see the joy on his kids faces. Not to mention that Johnny will always be the one and only Jack Sparrow as everyone knows so if they did a fourth they would have to listen to his ideas like they did in the third. It would be easy money for him.
