How about making a select location or a few select locations where we could read messages of these sorts? It'd be much more effective than a log-in box. They could just put a place in each tavern or they could make "Official Guild Relays" that aren't actually anything of the sort: well, they would be, but anybody could access their messages there. In reality, it'd just be a place to read a message that was left from a friend or a guildmate, just like an in-game email. These places would be just like an in-game computer (for wherever a computer and internet are, you can get email: so, wherever an OGR is, you can access your messages). In an OGR as well, they could have fake guild members, npcs that act like they're in your guild. That'd be pretty cool as well.

I like that idea, League. It wouldn't be as intrusive as a log in message and guild members can get it at their leisure. Only drawback is getting people in the habit of checking for messages. They're so accustomed to the log in messages from Disney, it would take a while to get it up to speed.

Perhaps a log-in message to check the OGR? or rather, a log-in message saying there is new or unchecked mail at the OGR?
