what is the auto repair glich?

The outcome (a person that no longer having access to thier system), is easier to achieve without any legal actions. Now if it brought down thier network, caused a problem with thier systems, etc.. Thats another story. But its unlikely any ship glitchers are up to that level of nefarious activity.

they would just ban people for any actual hacking - they are not gonna waste time and money on legal matters for it

now if you crashed their servers or caused some actual harm somewhere then yea they might nail u to a wall LOL

and like you said zepper - I doubt any player on pirates is going to be that devious

You know, I've found that two people on a War Sloop can overcome just about any glitch. Mr. Ironrat and myself go out on SvS fairly often, and more often than not we end the game with top score on the side we choose. We don't need to glitch to defeat the other side. And when we sink, we sink, no big deal. We pull up our big boy pants and sail back into the fray. Pretty soon our bounty is back up and we continue to "Rack" up the score.

I understand the frustration, it gets to me as well occasionally. But I enjoy the SvS aspect so much that I do it anyway.

I ended up going with someone who told me to take the wheel after we sunk.
I thought it wont work but it did and the next thing I know I can repair while the ship is moving.

tsk tsk tsk, some people just dont know the difference between cheating and glitching, ill make it simple: *clears throat*

Glitching= finding problems in the game
cheatng= things like the svs. The SVS "glitch" Is something I would consider a cheat, not a glitch

Repair-while-sailing glitch is not the same as the auto-repair glitch. Both are bad; even though both were reported, big D only "fixed" the auto-repair glitch once by making it slightly more obtuse (instead of just drawing cutlass while hammering, now you have to do a skill action, before pressing shift.)

Did it do me any good to report it? No, in fact, someone named MacIronhawk recently made freakish bizarre accusations about my motivations, but big D never did fix the reported glitch.

I've seen war frigates hit my light sloop when I was parked directly behind it. (And that lone guy on his ship was firing cannon, not turning his boat...not even after I sunk. He was still sitting there in front of Ile d'Etable de Porc...)

OK - here is one I haven't seen before.

I get on a war frigate, we sink. The captain goes offline so I have the ship. I start sailing, take some damage, park to work the cannons. The ship starts to repair itself. Im the only one on board - I ran the decks to make sure. Before I knew it the ship was to full health again.

Is that a packet hack?

For myself I don't really mind the sailing glitch - you can still sink just not as easy. This one - an auto repair? That seems pretty fishy to me.

BTW - I got off the ship as fast as I could port when i realized exactly what was going on.

Are you sure you weren't just getting salvage repairs from sinking enemy ships? Did you ask in privateering chat, if anyone was doing "fleet repairs" (where they repair their own ship beyond 100% - repairing allied ships.)

he could been getting Salvage repairs

but as to ur fleet repairs - that doesnt exist - you cannot repair ur ship past 100% it forces you to stop repairing

so you cannot repair an allie ship that way

you can however glitch and board an allie ship and start repairing it that way

someone was probably being nice on ur team and using the same glitch i mentioned above to heal the ship -

they glitch off ship, walk to ur ship, start repairing and it usually repairs really fast

LOL OK....listen we all know that its AWESOME for us to get major things out of glitches...but how do u feel when someone else beats u when they are the ones cheating..u dont feel so happy anymore do you? well bottom line is.....CHEATING/GLITCHING/NO MATTER WHAT U WANNA CALL IT...its simple....BAD BAD BAD....if they dont fix it i wont ever ship pvp again..seriously..or pvp another person no matter what....SERIOUSLY..they go through the walls and i cant get them so i logg off and they dont win and i dont lose...simple!!!!!!!!!!!!
