Quest won't work?

Exactly! Well, at least this forum is helping me to keep my sanity. I'll keep looking for that stupid orb.

Any ship, and I mean ANY ship you sink fulfills this quest. Sink a navy ferret, instant payola.

I still use that guy even at my level. Easiest 105 gp in the game!

Since i started playing the game it never did the "checking for quest item" thing before but today after the update or maintenance or whatever, it's checking for things again. So that's nice.

Got it! I tried sinking dozens of ships near Padres and got nothing. I hadn't been anywhere near Devil's Anvil in months b/c of the gulls (and the fact that they used to be able to jump aboard my War Galleon). After reading this post, I gave it a try and sunk an injured Warlord and when it respawned, I sunk it again and there was the orb! Thanks!

I am having the exact same problem with nades and level four cutlass quests. I am just trying to be patient but it is like torture getting the lore etc.
