From the sounds of that description, it sounds like we're going to have more to shop for, not get new weapons entirely. May be something like "40K for a voodoo doll that looks like you, and re-charges faster, but you won't get a new attack skill on it". The swords could be "new" to the likings of getting to buy swords with pretty little tassles hanging off the grip, or different metals that have different strengths and/or weaknesses....LOL, wouldn't that be funny if in the middle of a battle, the tip flew off your sword and you had to take it to the blacksmith for repairs, like you have to repair your ship....oh wait...that would suck

Like I said i n the other post. The upgraded weaponry is pointless IMO. They promote a "Stronger weapon that inflicts +4 more attack points", yet penalize you when u use it. Yeah dont get my wrong, I love my curvy sword now, it just makes it a bit harder to get those 110 reps....and when ur at my lvl, you need all the help you can get!!

Agreed Angel - upgrading weapons is useless under the current formula (more hits = higher REP - which SHOULD be more damage = higher REP).
Might look fancy - but I'll be using my straw doll and rusty cutlass forever unless this gets corrected (or new weapons have some 'magical REP bonus' - not likely though)

Well, it looks to me like the gun is actually a Blunderbus, which would be the next logical step upward. Perhaps they will offer the Musketoon, Flintlock Carbine and Flintlock Rifle next. Since they have invented 2 pistol types there is no real way to tell of course.
The upgraded sword offered should have been a broadsword. By the pic it looks like a Hangar, a heavier cutlass. Its the land version carried by mostly troops. They should add an Axe, with throwing ability like the dagger, but more damage. And just in case you are going to ask, yes, it was a common pirate weapon, since it was a tool used on ships. At any rate, the price for the weapons is ridiculous when compared to the relative tiny benefit. Even the best dagger, which could be argued offers the only real benefit to increased damage of +4 is overpriced. |

yeah, the weapon upgrades are worthless, as you can master them without the upgrades just fine.
i dont plan on getting any of the upgraded weapons on this character, and im not sure if ill be around when they introduce the new ones as im running out of things to do, other than level weapons, and chat with friends. |

I think it would be very cool to see a longer range gun/rifle. I'm sure they didnt have scopes like nowadays tho haha. But still I think it would be very nice to have.

Well, lets look at it this way. There is already attack specials and animations in place for the flintlock....the weapon navy guys use. So, all it would take is to add it as a weapon choice, copy over the specials and there you go. Basically it is a combination weapon, both long range and melee. They can even keep the "no shoot" rule for humans in effect by not allowing the rifle to be fired (ammo) at humans, but you can still use the melee specials.
At range against undead it can act like throwing daggers. A shot with a noticable cooldown, and different types of bullets. So, in essence it is a slower dagger with more damage and longer range. |

I hope muskets are included, its about time we get some bannetes or muskets or something.
and like long valley, or take aim. your char could get on their knee and the aim bar would go up. Geez muskets and that sweet sword are what we need
