Now that you all have your roles, it is time for the game to begin!
Below are a few developments in the story. After you read these developments, you may want to begin discussing who you think you want to "interrogate" first. Then, I will post again tomorrow morning, which will cover all the characters not posted now, and then you will have a few days to debate/discuss (behind each other's backs! ) before you vote.Round 1 Development Stage Lt. Horatio Laine (Dippy~Emily) meets Captain Hernan Vidaeo (James Greasepine) Horatio leans over the bloodstained body of the Baron, still sitting silently on the carpet. He rubs his hands over the body, investigating each and every little cut, scratch, and hole in the man's skin. "There was a struggle...." the detective whispers to himself. Suddenly, Laine hears a small patter of footsteps on the floor behind him. Turning around quickly, he is faced with a startled, tall Spanish man, dressed in the customary Spanish Officer uniform. "Sr. Laine, you scared me." Hernan sighed, stepping in to the room. "The pleasure's all mine..." the detective murmured over his shoulder. "Have you any developments in terms of the Baron's murder?" Horatio stood up, pointing vaguely across his body. "It really is a wonderful killing - there had to have been numerous weapons used in the assault, I know that. So many different types of bruises and injuries, after all. But, I'm confidant there is some evidence around here." Horatio turned around to see the Captain slowly creeping out of the room. Reaching out, he tried to lay a hand on the man, but he was quick in jumbling about. The Captain afixed himself and stared Horatio square in the face. "Listen here. You may have come here to look over this place. but by NO standards may you bother me or my crew!" Hernan barked. "Understood!?" Laine fell silent as the Captain gave a wide-eyed nod and backed hurriedly out of the room, rubbing his hands together. Governess Sylvia Windrunner (Crestshot) Takes a Note The following was an article which the Governess wrote herself, to have put in the Port Royal Herald: The Governorship of the Province of Port Royal, ruled in domain by the British Royal Crownship, orders that all conspirators and traitors who aided in the plot for the assassination Baron Rolando S. Belicista of Barcelona be captured and handed over to the British Royal Forces of Fort Charles, DEAD OR ALIVE, for a bounty of 1,000 guineas. Baron Belicista was shot and killed on the deck of his ship, the Stella Maria, and was found later the next morning by a British soldier checking up on the ship in manners of good will. Any additional information should be given to Lt. Horatio Laine. Andy Rolland (Stealthy Cannoneer) Chats with a Pirate Lord (Admiral Savvy) Andy was out of breath, having nearly repaired an entire section of the dock, damaged the day before by an inexperienced sailor ramming his ship straight in to it's side. He walked to the side of the dock, and leaned up against a support beam that ran up beside him, looking out at the beautiful ship of the Baron that sat in the harbor. "She's a magnificent sight, isn't she?" a dark voice came from his side. Andy jumped backward, turning to the stack of boxes that sat next to where he had stood. A dark figure leaned his side up against them on the other side, watching the ship, a black longcoat hanging over his body. A black ostrich hat with a gold feather rounding about the front sat tipped down before his face, but not even from this angle could he see anything. "Who da 'ell are you?" Andy slurred, wondering how he had never seen him there while he went about. "Calm down. You're voice is such a spine-cracking sound." The man said as he turned to face Andy. He flicked the hat up on to a regular sitting position atop his head. He revealed a face covered in a black, outlining tattoo, with small pieces of shimmering jewelry sticking out here and there. He smiled a big, mischievous grin, just above a rat's nest of a beard. "Do you know who I am now?" "Not the slightest idea." The man's face turned to a frown. "Welp, you should. Captain Delmaria Darkskull is the name. And NOW, you know me!" Andy shook his head. "Yea... right.." he walked back to where he was standing. "So, how much do you take a likin' to stand there all day, lookin' at dat ship?" "A large liking.... as I know that it belongs to me." Delmaria said, walking up beside Andy. Andy turned to him, puzzled. "Whaddaya mean?" "That ship is supposed to be mine mate.... gluttonous pig of a Baron took it right out under my nose...." Darkskull chortled deeply. "Well, seems I'm a step closer to getting it back now, aren't I?" The pirate turned about, and walked away, whistling and skipping lightly. Captain Amadeus Darkskull (Chris Ironhawk) is Called Out by Lucinda (Deadpool) Lucinda's back cracked painfully once more as she hobbled towards her mixing pot, dropping yet another carrot and alligator skin patch in to the mix. She sighed, tired of having to revise the mixture yet again, and began to chant the same old rite, trying to get a hold of some sort of feeling. And finally, she began to feel the vibes run through her. But it was not good - no, it was evil, and dark. It felt as though the fibers of her being were being plucked as a harp of the devil, so every moment you felt it coarse through her, she felt a hard buzz of pain. And in only grew stronger - coming closer. Finally, she spotted him. A man with white hair, walking a shifting through the crowd, a hat sitting atop his head. Her skin shriveled at his sight - and to think she thought trouble would be gone with the ridding of that Baron. "YOU!" she shouted in a heavy, raspy voice. The crowd came to a halt, including the man, as she pushed right through them to reach him. She grabbed his sleeve, his touch almost burning her skin. The crowd created a circle around them. "Oh, you evil... how DARE YOU come to my island!" "And what exactly is this mockery of a-" Amadeus tried to protest. Instead, he was shoved a few feet back violently by the small woman. She was strong for her size - probably stronger than him. She stuck a bony finger out at him, receding back to her post as she shivered, cold. "You better flee these waters.... I know what you have done, and will do... you are.... a wicked one...." |

Lucinda seems suspicious, attached to her island like that. And we all know about voodoo magic...

Hmmm... Delmaria seems a bit suspicious. I mean, he is good with weapons, he is a pirate lord, and he wants the baron's ship...

If I picked.... I would accuse Amadeus Darkskull. I'd like to know exactly what he did to get Lucinda all riled up.

Discussion Period 1 is Over!
All pirates - not just those who had their characters featured in the developments - must vote based on the developments which character they want interrogated. The character that receives the most votes will be essentially "voted off." Voting will end tomorrow (Wednesday) night. NOTE: If a player has their character kicked out of the game, they may still vote and discuss with others, but they are no longer eligible to win.
