The easiest way is with two pirates with Bitter End. Timing is everything - freeze, bladestorm, freeze bladestorm, and maybe a sweep for good measure.
THEY CAN be solo defeated. =) Screenie attached. Again, its ALL about the timing, and about 20 jail visits while getting that timing JUST right.

nice plan. but when i try it, the second gun blast all ways heals them, so what can i do? Oh, and here's another plan. have a bunch of high level pirates who master dagger, or a lot of swords men, doesn't matter, but ye need at least one person with voodoo reflect fully charged. (you can charge it on fire bats.) so them you have the rage attack the voodoo reflect guy, but he will be invincible, but the rage will not be harmed. (i tried it my self) while the rage is attacking the guy w/ voodoo reflect, everyone else will attack him. try to use as much powers your weapons have as possible,
 and it will go down , but you will lose a lot of fellow pirates, so heal them.and you will get your hat
