One of the problems with talking about cannibals yet or not is... there are no islands that are even remotely close to looking like the island in the movies for that.

There are around 7 shrouded islands though, and these do NOT seem to be storyline islands, as far as for the second story quest. They may be simple additions to the game to keep us playing while they finish up the second story quest.

But I have no idea. For all I know they might not even enter the game. We may only see these during special events, like fleets. Hopefully not, but you never know.

I was thinking that those swamps kind of look like ones we have now. For instance, the first one looks like Pantamo River in Cuba. Are these new to phase files or have they been there a while, anyone know?

All they are, are the new minimaps for some swamps.

Aye, I agree. Anyone want to guess though when the new islands/areas are going to come to The Test Game? I am guessing next week if not then the week after that of this month (May).

Unless they're cursed cannibals, no. But we could use grenades. What if they make a random pirate their chief every hour or so? Then we fight to free him!


Then they thank us and worship us...

And eat us....

If they come out next week, or even next month, you're going to hate them. There are literally no new caves, swamp areas, or forest areas for these islands.

If anything they'll be for events, just to keep us entertained. They could show up during EITC fleets to go to Raven Cove, but if they do, they'll only be for show.

But hey, seven islands. If they're of any importance during storyline quests, it will be fun to have seven new islands in the game. Increasing the count to 21, instead of 15.

We don't know that Mac. If they meaning: caves,forests, swamps etc for the new islands then they obviously are not in the phase files for that area then they are probably working on them. I don't think any of us work for Disney Online, So I don't know.

You also have to realize that a number of swamps, forests, (And caves until the update), etc. are usually remakes of each other. Like the Queen's Nest and the Rat's Nest being based on King's Run.

You're forgetting that we have no idea whether or not they're making new swamps or forests.

This is all speculation. For all we know these won't be anything more than little islands for show. That'd be dull, but it's possible.

Aye, like Mac said, it's all just speculation. The NPCs, island spreading and the phase file pictures really do make it seem like the islands are on their way, though. We cannot be certain, and I say we all just relax and enjoy what big D has given us (i.e. potion, ship repairing).

Personally, I hope that there ARE 7 new islands, and that they are restricted. I want them to be integral to the next story chapter. In order to even set foot on one, you MUST have:

A) Captured the Pearl
B) Have mastered all skills/weapons to at least level 25
C) Notoriety to at least level 42
D) have Potions to level 15
E) Solve the clues that are given by a "NEW" sea chart that shows you the way to "Navigate" the shoals to the 'new' section of ocean where the new islands are


The very first time you meet all the above, and try to set foot on any of the new islands, you are whisked away to the very first island we all started on in order to be given the first quest for the second story chapter. Once you have the second story chapter assigned, then you can sail freely to ALL the islands, old and new!


(I can only DREAM that Disney would be creative like this. BUT, I know that it won't be this way. Too bad. It would bring some real life back to the game.)
