Test Release Notes - March 25th 2010

It was pretty sad though. Defending Tortuga from Jolly's army during the invasion with nothing but a rusty sword. Needless to say we lost big time. I guess the best that we could have hoped for was that the skels contracted tetnus. Nothing sadder than a skeleton with a bad case of lock jaw.

I will continue to post more weapons tomorrow. Sadly I could not really test any out today due to the sad programming error. Where we get the words Minor Bug is beyond me though. It may be a small thing they messed with, but it took away almost everything. I do enjoy being a tester however, and try to help out POTCO with feedback. There were points where I couldn't use my cutlass even when I had it after the Barbossa tutorial. So if you skip the tutorial, you will both lose that pistol, and your cutlass will do no damage.

I am rather concerned of how they will fix this. I hope if they can't fix what they messed up, the can at least give us all 50000 Gold to buy new weapons. But I would still prefer to get all of the items back that I plundered off of my enemies.

Sorry to hear that! I can't wait for this to come out for all to see! What's more, basic members can get in on it too! Nothing's in the game's made me this happy since the first Muertos Moon way back when... I'm such an old pirate. We didn't even have good weapons when I was young... (Wheezes)...You had to kill alligators with a rusty cutlass and you were proud of it! (Sighs) Now give me a moment to record this in "The Biggest Happenings in Pirates Online History"... I can't believe that for once, basic members actually get in on new features! This is unprecedented! (Looks again) Back in the day, we basic members got a steel cutlass, (This later was taken away) an old flintlock, and a light sloop. After a couple of years, we got light galleons and cloth dolls. (Cloth dolls were taken later as well.) Perhaps I'm being too
long-winded, but I'm an old pirate, with old ideals. (Sighs) Maybe this will make young pirates friendlier again... Oh well. We'll see.

I just came on at the start of an invasion. Pretty bad when a level 14 that has a flintlock pistol is murdering a load more skeletons than anybody else. I died and lost my weapons soon after, and decided to make a new character.

Update: Seems as if we still have issues on the test server. Looks like Big D may have dug a bigger hole than they could fill.

Well, it looks as if we're not going to be playing today. Maybe they aren't fixing it, but it doesn't look good.

Very good question, probably when they fix it tomorrow, seeing as they don't do anything on their weekends.

The guy who i talked to on live chat said they've been working on it.

Well, that means they are having a very big issue. It is test, thank goodness. But I wish they could at least give those who beat the weapons quests those weapons back. Sure, we obtained good weapons, but it is test, so they shouldn't sweat their mistake. I just hope they can get it back to working soon.

Man, from what I've heard, it's a mess. It will take some time.

Time to open up test server #2, we know you're hiding something Disney. Nah, but you would think they tried this out on the admin server before they went to test. At least there, they only have to fix their pirates. Doing it there and messing up would take about 10 minutes to fix, but with all the pirates on test, about 20000 minutes.

Hope they do fix everything this time around and listen to the tester. Please Disney take all your time with these updates. I think we can wait a little more.
