So what you're saying Max is that they try to fix one thing, and a whole different thing messes up. heh...sounds a little like DXD now... But I realize thats all part of the job, if one problem is fixed, usually another one is created, completely understandable

I've reported ten bugs on test already.
It seems as though there hasn't been an update since October 2nd. Why the thread says Test Release Notes Oct 3rd is beyond me, unless that has to do with when it was posted.... The updates are good but the bugs that were brought with it could take a month to fix. I don't expect this update on open for a while. |

Some big clean up in pvp, and one of the most problem exploits causing lag in the entire game fixed. May have been fixed before but first time i have checked in a good while. No longer the undead such bugs will be done, of people jumping from pvp to pvp to pvp within the pvp system.
Two more minor problems I saw were music is gone, where before it stayed on ya after exiting the match. Other players appear normal rather than undead. Hopefully stuff is being straighten out through all the quests. Going from 1-40 in a month I reported every single thing i saw through every quest. No way of checking all that out but another character. This is things from 969% complete on quest readings, to any ship filling the quest, wrong locations, wrong listings for quests etc. I can say this release when it comes out is going to be not just another release of same problems compounded over new problems. They have done a heck of a lot of clean up. My personal views is not to see decreased cannons, and dagger type things. But more than anything the exploits that have leaked out into open game, as protected secrets to just not tested well/ or worked on if known. Most things I have seen have been dealt with. I have been weak in testing some of the stuff taking several people, so may something get through, possibly, but nothing like some of the last releases. There may be always adjustments such as why is a galleon doing more hits, and more rep, than a war galleon on regular ships. Maxing out this character with a galleon was a new method to what I have done in the past with new developments always occurring. What else may be effected by something new,,,you need to get out there and check, what works best. Does leaving the front sail on a skellie ship up so broadsides hit it for more over all rep? Does using open fire add to rep? With new point allocations this will give everyone a chance to try different methods in areas like this. Its not all in problems created by adding content to this release. I am seeing things fixed that have been messed up for a few releases. In a whole, there is little left at this stage versus some major problems been dealt with. Getting hex shot working right, might/ might not cause other issues. Ships not running at 100%, some rooms getting black outs, pvp pirates not looking undead etc. Being able to perhaps go in pvp without watching someone no matter where they are at, hitting you non stop with cutlass a big plus. Ships not using lag out techniques or healing type stuff, or invulnerable, a big plus in the svs. Two areas not dealt with at the time when they were released. Seeing these steps being taken forward really shows there is effort being made to straighten some of this out. Put the game back to who shoots better or plays better, not who knows the best cheats. Some of these old issues are the trouble, few problems in newer stuff as I see it. |

eh, i dont see why they would plan to make the stuff out on the 31st.The event is on that day, and i doubt people would want bugged stuff to ruin the event.

Disney has their smart ideas, and I applaud them, even though they think adding a lot at once is gonna solve everything. But, when we look back on the older weapons quests, I didn't even bother come on since everybody was getting booted when the got on their boats. Best not even come on the game if it's on the 31st and I haven't heard that a great amount of bugs are fixed. Plus, let's be honest, the Undead glitch may be gone, or thought to be gone, but, I know somebody like Mad V or Cole Ironrat are gonna find another way into the glitch.

There are always bugs that have a possibility of being found. Ones people have been doing release after release, are at least being taken care of. I remember when after the undead bug that was used for xp and no lost ammo was around, everyone said if was fixed. Until the next day when i got on, though above usefulness was gone, another way was possible. Now anything in that same method has been eliminated. Less lag, less people trying to pvp ending up all over and in broken crews. Svs some same issues taken care of, in a lot of sense, a bigger deal than the new content. I am happy to see people loosing cheats that can't play equal ground with other players in things like pvp, svs, maybe they will begin to learn now.
A Lot of these things being on going problems, is what I fear causing a lot of hang -ups we are getting versus the new content. Each fix may result in something else happening. Latest things I have seen is a issue with boarding a ship, pic's script not exiting screen, and on going problems such as hex shot. |

Still, if Pirates had any mind to listen to me about glitches, they'd know that the need to fix bugs like the invincibility you get after being on a ship in SvS after getting sunk. I can understand the ship's invincibility, but, why does it have to affect our character's exactly is what I don't understand. You just get off the ship, and teleport to another server, and back to the first server you were on before the time runs out, and it lasts until you're struck by a Staff. Then again, I guess it's just Pirates Online Nature to sit around and make 'improvements' all day, I admit, their ideas are good, but we all know they still stack too much on their plate to listen to us. Plus, I have noticed on test we can no longer walk off ships the way we used to, but there is always a way to find a flaw in that, and I'm sure somebody will find it soon.

Im sure they are listening, they are just taking their sweet time with it... and I agree, who would want a new update to go live on a special event day? nonetheless, I still cant wait till all this comes out, and its good to see that some bugs are at least getting recgonized!

They do read these forums on occasion, wouldnt know who what or where
, but when I talked to the GMs in the recent GM meeting event, a few of them told me they read our forums here, at least one said regularly!
