It's really disheartening to read all of this...Disney had a made a game, following the success of Toontown as well as the POTC games and movies, to be a fun & enjoyable pirate adventure with a nice family atmosphere...now it's all of this drama...
And while you can't say it's kids or adults, I will say that honestly nowadays many of these so called "l337" teenagers as well as young adults are the cause much grief...and it's not just in MMO's, it's also in FPS games...I call 'em youngins with attitudes...it's that whole pre-teen to age 23 or so that's rough before they finally grow up and see the real world... Now I know why rum is in the game and it's always gone by true pirates...the onslaught of drama in the last year or so...don't fall prey to their rudeness...hang in there mateys... |

It could all be easily fixed. ban the word noob, and get a huge mod. team.

Another reason IMO that we now have more of these instances where pirates come up and get into it with others while looting or leveling is because of the number of high level pirates now and because of the looting system.
First of all back in the day there were not as many mastered or high level pirates or high powered weapons around and most people actually needed a decent crew to take down enemies they wanted. Also the loot system was not in place and the aggressive nature in which some pirates try to "claim" there turf was not as strong. There are many more pirates trying to loot or level by themselves than ever before not saying it's wrong just a observation. So the nature of the game has changed whether right or wrong and probably will never go back to the way it was. |

I don't see why people are always so rude. Just because they are hiding behind a computer character doesn't mean they should not mind their manners!

Hey guys! I have another funny story! Sit Cris-cross-applesause while I spin my tale...
So, I was doing some recruiting for my guild, and I go up to this guy and ask him if he wants to join. His reply? "No crazy". Here is a general dialogue. me: ok.... him: dumbo. him: loser. me: You don't know me. Why are you making these assumptions about me? him: fat me: You're making fun of my avatar? You don't know what I look like. him: I bet I'm older than you. me: Then act like it. him: loser. him: dumbo me: You need a vacation from this game... the ban you will be getting should help with that. him: fine i'm sorry can i do anything to help you? me: Yea, get some manners. Then I left. He was pathetic. Just threw a bunch of random insults for no reason... what a moron... |

He pretty much ignored everything I said and kept throwing random insults... I don't know what the heck was wrong with this guy. I mean, if you want to act rude, at least have a REASON to do it, aye?

you all know i had a thread about rep-stealing that had a long long run here...I still stand behind what i said...try to crew people who invade your spot, or ask them nicely to leave. Or change servers. Had a problem with a guild on this site in treasure room, who clearly saw a close to master member trying to level his nades...yah someone in our crew told them to quit not nice, but they wouldn't take crew. This was a quiet server and we had a big crew. GM of looting guild started more probs by insisting we practically beg them to leave. Whats with that?
If you see someone mastering and you choose to stay...fine. Take crew. How hard is that. As a GM fella you should have done the right thing and told your guys to go to thralls maybe > our guy only needed another ten fifteen minutes. ![]() Molly Ohara |

Disney should pull a Davy and turn any text calling someone a noob into "I am a noob". Davy did something similar on the SS guild site, so POTCO can do it as well.

Of course they make it known to the world... xD
That could work. It would be humiliating for the person, and when they did that, it would get sent to the moderation staff so they could review it. Then again, there could be flaws, like when two friends are joking around, and one calls the other a noob as a joke. Although something similar could work. |

I feel horrible today. I added someone to Shadow Sorcerors today, and he started babbling on about how he made an old guild and how it had so much drama and it failed and bla bla bla. It was bothering some of my guildmates, and they had told him to stop. He didn't listen and kept on babbling. Needless to say, I ejected him. Then a guy in our guild started saying stuff about how we should have let him be, and that we should have just ignored him. I tried telling him that its hard to ignore someone when they are spamming up guild chat. He claims that its really easy. I try telling him that he was told to stop, and he didn't, so he earned it (this counts as drama in our book by the way). He started getting really mad at us, and started saying stuff about me being a bad GM and us being bad people. I kicked him out too. I don't mind people stating their opinions, but he was starting to get too... argumentative, and was starting to insult us.
He happened to be friended with Billy Fireskull, and I hear he wants to talk to me (or something like that...). I go to him. He continues about how we should have ignored him, and that there is no freedom left, and bla bla bla. I then tell him to pretend he is a guildmaster of a big guild, with lots of happy members. Then he adds someone who is a drama causer. His members are complaining that he is bugging them. Then I asked what he would do. Guess what he said. "Its not that hard to ignore..." I felt like I was punching a beanbag chair. It cant do anything to help itself, and it just keeps taking the punches, and it knows it can't win, but it never dies. I reported him, because he was insulting me there too. Not just "your stupid" flat out insults, but that way that they sorta taunt you by saying stuff in that teasing way that implies mean words, but they put happy faces and stuff... which is even more annoying. Guildmasters, Co-guildmasters out there; if there is a guy causing tons of drama in your guild, are you going to just ignore him? Or are you going to do something about it? |

People seem to have the mistaken idea that freedom is doing whatever you want. this is not the case, obviously, because then others aren't free. There must be rules, and they must be observed. Try to feel less horrible
