Cross-bow or Bow/arrow combination. Could have different types of ammo for these that have exploding tips that slow/stun creatures etc...

whip and flamethrower seem the most appealing to me, though i would love to be able to smash a rum bottle over someone's head that would be fun, or throw them like you can do in the potc at world's end game bar brawls are fun!
