I had someone do the opposite of name calling, but still the same concept. Got mad at me because I wasn't healing her (she ran up out of nowhere while I was fighting alone) and started attacking my enemy, I let her go about her business but refused to heal her because I wasn't leveling doll and didn't want to. She finally took being rude, asking "Whats your problem?" after I told her I repeatedly didn't want to heal because I was leveling other things. She took to running away and whispering me saying that just because I was a high level (she was a 20, I was a 35...) I shouldn't be rude to her, etc. I ignored, reported, and went on. Sad to say it happens all the time anymore. =(

I think you may have missed the original point.
First, that 10-14 could have been a Master's second or third pirate. Second, I have seen a number of lower levels using the term noob ironically - purposely calling Master pirates noob as a bit of a joke or a way to kind of 'give it back' to those who constantly call them newbies. Of course, I wasn't there so I don't know the context. I was with a crew working Raven's Cove one night and a fellow master called me noob and we laughed about it. |

Is that a good reason to respect a troll? If you are mastered, WHO CARES? Whoop-de-doo, you've played a lot. While it may mean they have better manners, that's not always true. In fact, many are just plain arrogant. Even mastered pirates can be "noobs" in the definition of the word. Not, newbs or newbies, NOOBS. A noob is interchangeable with: Griefer, Troll, Flamer, or Just Plain Annoying. A newb is new to the game. They are homonyms, not synonyms. Calling a "noob" a "newb" and vice-versa isn't always true.

I was at Darkhart abassa the other day and I put up a defense booster on my staff, the fifty asked me to stop and I did. Then she started saying "pirate guy is a noob." Then she got her friend to start saying I'm scared of Darkhart. I mean come one seriously! |

Aye, lets pretend a muertos moon is happening. My other mastered friend kills me, and we are in a crew. Then in crew chat, I yell out "YOU NOOB!!!". He doesn't take offense and we just start laughing about it. Its a very loose term. Thats good and bad. It honestly depends on the context it is being used in.

Personally I hate rep robbers. I call them vultures.
The solution to the noob problem is challenging them to PVP. None of my challenges have been accepted because they didn't want to be humbled by certain defeat. |

Sometimes, and I want to expose this out but if a lvl 10-14 comes to a thrall den (which I'm surprised they lived) I fight a enemy then let them attack and keep them at knockout till they go to jail. Why? I only have 5 miracle waters just for myself, they should know they should not be here from the start.

Just because you can beat someone in PvP, doesn't mean they are a noob. People beat me in PvP, and I don't think I am a noob (no comments from the following: Crestshot, TSC, Jack Shipsteel).

Actually, I've met people who openly admitted to me that they think its fun to make other people upset. I don't want to know how they live their lives, and what will become of them. As for getting my anger out, I draw a picture of the person I'm mad at... then I draw them being struck by lightning, and all that other stuff. Then I rip apart the paper and throw it away. That takes my anger out usually.... and its fun too...
