I have never failed to catch a legendary fish. I am 5 for 5. Speedy Lou twice, a Fogbell and 2 Mossy Moseses (Mosi?). And the method I use suits me but is the gamer equivalent of the underhand, granny-style free throw.

I use two hands. I hold the mouse with my right and click with my left. Really fast. More like a vibration than a click, really. Never fails because there is no transition between between clicking and rotating. It just looks idiotic is all. And, for some reason, that has never bothered me...

...but I lose more Legendary Lures to Tuna than anything else.
