Post War Galleon or Frigate?

ok right now i have a galleon, and over 8000 coins, I was wondering:

Should i save up and buy a War Galleon, like ive been hoping for...or go with a frigate...which i like.

a while ago i would have for sure gone with the war galleon...untill i thought *Do i really need a war ship?*

what do you think i should do mates?

aww yes the choices of pirates.... over all the frigate is a great ship lots of armor strength.. fast.... forward cannons ..far more crew friendly.... i say get it.... it didnt take to long maybe a week to save up enough to buy a War frigate .... and a few days later i had one of each War ship.... get the frigate have some fun and dont worry to much about gold .. it comes easily as you get up in the lvls... do what ever is going to be the most fun for you....

FYI ~War Galleons are easy to sink, lots of target space for the kingfishers to tag with fire balls.... nothing like a nice slw ride to jail as you watch 16 royals float away

later... Sand in my eyes

Personally, id say save and get the War Galleon. They do have strong armor, yes they are slow and yes they are a big target. But they do have good armor and awesome broadside and cargo room.

Id save for the War Galleon. I still perferre to use it over my War Frigate when i want to plunder. Sololy because of the cargo and broadside advangates. It also has to do with how I sail, where the speed and the manuverability isnt much of a factor. The War Frigate (or normal frigate i spose) are nice when you have a good crew, but you still have limited cargo space.

I find I actually sink less in my War Galleon than in my War Frigate (when sailing solo, of course). Maybe it's because my style of sailing was learned by helming a regular Galleon -- but I find the frigate, because of its length, sometimes catches those cannonballs that otherwise would just miss my galleon's bow or stern.
(And if yer gonna get broadside to a Kingfisher, then ye deserve the fireballs. )

To the original question: I think it really depends on your usual method of sailing. If you often have a crew, then I'd get the Frigate now. It'll make their life much easier. But if you sail solo most of the time, then save up for that War Galleon.

I would say, and will say, get a War Galleon. Galleons are more one pirate friendly, which means you can sail alone and have enough broadsides to make it almost anywhere without a crew. Afterwards, you have more cargo space to get more treasure to save up even faster for a Frigate or a War Frigate. Frigates are more crew friendly, so if you don't have enough pirates with you to fill up a Frigate, you should travel with Galleons, since Frigates have less broadsides and more cannons.

Galleon-gives you a better haul, but not as fast as the frigate. I would say Frigate for speed

Edit: One more plus about the frigate it has front cannons and the Galleon does not, you'll find the front cannons much more useful, sort of like a gorilla war tactic lol

I think the War Galleon is better than a Frigate.

Actually, Frigate and Galleon are the same speed. War Galleon is faster than a Frigate though, I believe, but Galleon and Frigate both have same speed. Get a War Galleon use it to plunder for gold to get the Frigate later. Simple as that.

Ya, if you get a War Galleon, you'd make 8000 in no time.

Im not even sure why your debating getting a "normal" ship over a war ship anyways.

Smile

I am in your same situation.. and I find it best to save for a war galleon then save for a war sloop and war frigate =) it is much easier and faster that way.
