Different types of pirates (like classes in other MMOs)......so everyone doesn't do the same thing, but specializes in a certain area (aggro, healing, damage, etc.).....plus its always cool to have skills you know someone else doesn't have and also makes it ALOT more fun leveling alts seeing as you get different skills than your previous pirate.
