How daring are ye, mate?
If you want to slowly build yer notoriety on sailing, launch from Cuba and sail left. There are plenty of Bulwarks, Sentinels, Greyhounds, Vipers, and other sundry ships. but be carefull, if ye sail too far out yer liable to run into a Juggernaught, Dreadnought, Death Omen, or such. If yer pretty decent on the wheel, head out between Padres Del Fuego and Kingshead. There are plenty of lv16 - lv20 Phantoms. But there's also the occasional Black Harbinger. |

i like to launch from padres and head toward outcast. sail back and forth near uncharted waters and you will get awesome gold and rep pts. you might wanna open your ship to public as well, cuz this area has level 30+ ships.

First, do the public ship cannoneering until you get lightning, then go to phantom circle to the west of padres. Shoot off their sails then broadside the rest of the way.

Ye also need to go to quiet servers, mate. I am trying to level me second pirate and the busy servers are filled with war frigates and war galleons taking out smaller Navy and Eitc...they make it very difficult to fill me quests. Think it is unfair when they are racing to sink the smaller ships that could help me level and fulfill me quests. Don't understand it...but it happens alot. So if I need protection I use busy servers...to level and sink ships for quests I use quiet ones.....

I'd be happy to meet you in game to help you out. If you want to meet up in the game, let me know and I'll show you some good places and strategies for leveling sailing.

Well I do all my sail lvlin off outcast. Be sure to use all yer perifery skills: fast sail n broadies, and all the ones u can as u get them, though open fire will take rep from anyone on cannon.
Another great spot is around isla canj for both sailin and cannon if u have a crew ensure everyone uses plain shot for best cannon rep for everyone regardless of notor and skill lvl. One person shootin lightnin (or any other stronger ammo) will vastly reduce rep for lower lvl/skill lvl pirates. Sailin lvls very fast though and its fun. Try also hitting ghost ships for best cannon rep, on a lvl 17 phan u can get max rep, where as a lvl 17 eitc or navy wont get u much. Ooo and unless u are lookin for gold steer clear of flag ships, they slow u down cos u have to keep boarding them. Have fun! |
