Does Buying A New Weapon Add To The Power Of The Quest Weapon?

I am just wondering if you have a lvl 15 quest weapon and you buy one of the other weapon upgrades, does it add to the power of the weapon? Because if it doesn't then I don't see the point in buying a weapon upgrade.

Might be more specific.. but yes the purchaseable upgrades are better than the initially quested for weapon until you get to weapon level 15.

At level 15, you can quest for weapons upgrades are the most powerful in the game at present (cannot be purchased).

The game will actually not let you buy a weapon that would be a 'downgrade'.

Sorry, what i meant was if you have the level 15 weapon does buying a new weapon add to the power of that weapon or does the weapon just remain the same power level? For example, the level 15 quest staff does +6 damage per hit. If you buy one of the upgrades does it change to +8 or +10 damage per hit? Or does it remain the same(+6 damage)?

No, you cannot purchase them to add additional damage.
The game wont allow you to purchase any of the weapons available once you have the +6 (and +1 pistol), because they would NOT be upgrades to what you currently have. (and do not add up in the fashion you requested about)

There is no upgrades once ye have the lv 15 Weapon ye cant buy a down grade

Swash, i am not trying to say does it downgrade the weapon. I am wondering if it adds damage to the lvl 15 quest weapon.

Thx Zep, now i understand. I had never had the chance to check out if you could by a weapon upgrade once you had the lvl 15 weapon because i had already bought all the upgrades.

Np, ye scurvy dawg!!!

Yeah, would be neat if they added a few more, even if they were same/similar in damage levels, just for some variety. But then again, may be better for us not to have that many different things in the game. I dont know.

Looking forward to the new "Level 20" Weapons Upgrade quests.
