The Adult's Guild for POTC Online players

The purpose behind the title - Tortuga Warriors
I wanted to honor the original Disney Pirate film, and one of my all time favorite movies; Treasure Island. I tried to gain the user name of 'Long John Silver'.
No variation I could come up with was accepted until the staff approved Johnathan Silver.
Next a title for an Adult's only guild. I didn't want to wait so long as I did for the user name, so after 'Treasure Island' and 'Treasure Islanders' were rejected, I gave up on the Treasure Island theme and just kept trying something that was different from what was already out there.
For those who've asked, I'm afraid the choosing of the guild's title is no more interesting than that.


The inspiration for an Adults only guild was Club 33 on the VMK Message board. I learned there, that there's many grownups playing online games.
I also found that they sometimes like a break from the children they encounter online, and like relating to others that are coming from a similar point in life.
Not to mention a break from selfish, rude, or obnoxious - childish behavior. Hey, we love our kids don't we, just not always other's. LOL
But please note; that I have no objection to mature acting kids if they want to be part of the Tortuga Warriors. Just as long as they can keep to the Code, which as 'Hector Barbossa' put it, 'They're more like guidelines'

But basically we're taking time out of our Mortgage paying, responsibility laden lives, to play an online game. Any one who is doing anything that is taking away from the fun that we're trying to have while putting the stress of the world behind us, is just not welcomed.

* Members are adults, or at least adult enough that we can't tell the difference ... much.

* Although we're each playing a rouge pirate - in reality, it's necessary to exercise kindness and courtesy towards all.

* Your sensibilities of humor, topics of discussion, or general behavior are not going to be at the same level as others. Be willing to error on the side of caution and consider that when texting. - On the other hand, please consider that also, when other's levels are not at your standard by not being too sensitive.

* Have fun, and when you feel like it and can, try to help other members to have fun.
